Annotation in Indicator 8

The teaching philosophy outlined in the lesson plan focuses on constructivism and progressivism by using cooperative learning models. It also incorporates multiple intelligences based on existentialist philosophy. This allows students to actively participate in their learning through experiences with others, while catering to individual differences and enabling each student to develop their unique qualities.

OBJECTIVE 2

Manifested a learner-centered teaching philosophy in various aspects of practice and support colleagues in enhancing their own
learner-(entered teaching Philosophy)

PROMPT #2
Identify Teaching Philosophy in your Lesson Plan based on your idea on how this philosophy address learners
needs. Teaching Philosophies must be highlighted and annotated in this form

The Research Based Learning Models that I use for the classroom instruction are the following:

Cooperative Learning- anchored on Constructivism- the constructivist theory is based

around the idea that learners are active participants in their learning journey; knowledge is
constructed based on experiences. As events occur, each person reflects on their experience
and incorporates the new ideas with their prior knowledge. Also, this learning approach is
anchored also to Progressivism, an educational movement started by John Dewey that says
that students learn through their own experiences. Progressivism revolves around the students'
needs, including teaching students to be good citizens as well as good learners, a concept
known as focusing on the whole child.

Multiple Intelligences- anchored on Existentialism, a philosophical theory that people are

free agents who have control over their choices and actions. Existentialists believe that every
individual is unique and education must cater to the individual differences. Therefore, the
objective of education is to enable every individual to develop his unique qualities, to harness
his potentialities and cultivate his individualities.
