TITLE: Social Science and Philosophy (The Entrepreneurial Mind)


CODE: GESSP-EM
DESCRIPTION: Focal to understanding the realm of an “Entrepreneurial Mind,” this course
exposes the student comprehensively to the meaning, attributes, nature and dynamics of
entrepreneurship, highlighting the economic actor, the “Entrepreneur.” How the latter develops his
analytical mind and utilizes his critical thinking in decision-making in the various approaches to
business ownership are emphasized.
OUTCOMES: At the end of the course, the students must be able to:
1. Explain core concepts and theories relevant to developing an entrepreneurial mindset.
2. Assess economic indicators significant to sound and equitable decision-making.
3. Analyze the ten (10) Economic Principles in consonance with the application of entrepreneurial
skills and competencies.
4. Differentiate patterns, trends, and relationships that apply to business goals and problems.
5. Demonstrate skills of the enterprising businessmen and/or entrepreneur to current and present-day
conditions.
6. Create business data portfolio reflective of the learned concepts, principles and models in
entrepreneurship.
REQUIREMENTS: At the end of the course, students have satisfactorily complied the following:
