ASSESSMENT
ASSESSMENT
(This assessment were adopted from the Personal Growth Assessment Tool by Steve Moore)
OJT ACADEMY
Part 1. Direction: Read and give your response/position/reaction in every statement below. Write
your answer on a separate sheet of paper.
1. What is my natural personality bent and how well do I understand it? How readily do I use the
understanding of my personality to frame how I make decisions or interact with other people?
My natural personality is introverted, I am naturally shy and reticent. Some other people think
that it is weird to have a personality like this, however this personality helps me a lot when
making the right choice or decision, since I am more focused on my internal thoughts and
experiences or on what is known. Most of the conflict between two people or groups of people
nowadays is because of lack of communication and the words we say that we really don't think
about. In conclusion, introverted people are good listeners and we always make sure that we are
saying the right words that will not offend and disrespect other people's feelings.
Every people has his/her own challenges and opportunities, and we each have our own ways on
how to face these challenges. In my experience, I always calm myself and organize my thoughts to
make sure that I will be able to make the right decisions. I always give myself time to think and rest,
this is my way of making sure that I'm not making any wrong decisions
3. What interests or issues am I self-motivated to learn more about, participate in, recruit others
for, or pay a price to pursue?
I have always been interested in other people's success, this gives me motivation that no matter
whatever challenges I will go through, I can do it, because if they were able to do it, I know that I can
do it as well.
4. What experiences in my past have captured my attention, stirred my emotions, and roused
me to action?
I am always attentive, engaged and alive to the things that will bring out the best in me, the
things that will make me a better version of myself. Just like changes, learning is a continuous
process that never ends, that is why I always considered every situation as an opportunity for me
to learn new things.
Every one of us has our own gifts and talents. I have always been good at Math. It is very easy
for me to solve and learn mathematical problems.
7. Which of these talents have not been developed to their appropriate capacity?
I would say that there are a lot of things that we are capable of doing, that is why experience is
always there to open a new opportunity for us to discover more things that we never thought we
could do. I always believed that whatever the things that I can do right now will not stop me from
discovering myself to the other things that I am capable of doing.
8. How could I turn these talents into strengths by adding knowledge, skill, and experience?
Part II. Direction: Identify a few trusted members of your relational network and ask the questions
given below. Their response to every question will help you see your blind spots and close your
awareness gap. It is helpful to solicit feedback from people in several life domains, such as family,
school and community. Write their answers/response on a separate sheet of paper.
1. What aspect of my capacity should I be developing now in order to position me to realize my life
dreams?
Developing as an individual and reaching our dreams in life has always been there, all we have
to do is to open our eyes to the reality that we have to work hard to get those dreams. We will
never reach success if we put our faith in luck and wishes, we have to make a decision and we have
to take a risk no matter what it will take. Success has always been in our hands.
2. Have you observed any blind spots in my life that keep me from seeing areas in which I need to
grow? If so, what do I need to know in order to close this awareness gap?
Nobody is perfect - indeed an old saying but it is true. None of us is perfect, even the
successful people made wrong decisions as well, but how we're going to stand up from those
failures is what really defines us as a person. Imperfection is always part of our lives but how
you overcome those imperfections will definitely bring you to the top of your dreams.
3. What personal growth goals do you think I should focus on if I am to play to my strengths?
You can never be successful if you only focus on your strengths, I believe that it will only
stop you from exploring other things that will give you other alternative ways on how to grow as
a person. Just like inside the classroom we're not going to learn all things just by staying inside
the four corners of our classroom, we need to go outside and explore other places to learn and
to grow.
4. What character weaknesses should I address to ensure a strong foundation for my personal
legacy?
Weakness is all in our mind, if we think that we cannot do it, then that's what is going
to happen. However, if we think that we can do it even though we know that it will take us time
to learn it, eventually time will come that our greatest weakness can be our greatest
strength and that weakness will also teach us new things to grow and have a strong personal
foundation.
5. 5. Do you see anything that suggests my life is out of balance or in need of renewed focus?
You know when the boat is seeking if the other side almost touches the water, so what
are you going to do with it? Are you going to jump into the water or fix the boat to stop from
seeking? That's how life works, it's whether you're going to give up or you're going to fight.
6. Is there anything else you want to share that will help me identify goals for my upcoming growth
cycle?
There are a lot of things that I could tell you to grow as a person, but how you're going
to adopt it and embrace it will definitely depend on you. That's why my best and first advice is to
learn how to embrace changes, by then it will be easy for you to learn your things.
