Professional Development Plan

This professional development plan outlines two goals for a teacher to develop more effective math lessons using manipulatives and graphic organizers. The first goal is to develop lessons using a variety of manipulatives like base ten blocks, pattern blocks, and fraction strips. The plan lists active strategies like using different manipulatives in class and passive research on their uses. The second goal is to develop lessons incorporating graphic organizers such as Venn diagrams, matrices, and KWL charts. Similarly, the teacher will actively use various graphic organizers in lessons and passively research other types and their purposes. Both goals have anticipated start and end dates from August to December to develop and implement the new lessons.
