version .2 to version .3
Purpose
This document is intended for Unity Pro users who are currently managing M580 applications
using Unity Pro V10, V11, V11.1, V12 or superior and want to update their applications
containing BMENOC0301.2 or BMENOC311.2 to benefit from the new features brought by the
new version BMENOC0301.3 or BMENOC311.3
The purpose of this converter will be to update Unity Pro applications related to M580 projects
containing BMENOC0301 / 311 from version .2 to .3.
The converter will perform the conversion over the Unity Pro exported application format (.ZEF)
of an application.

Scope
The scope of this tool will be to update M580 applications with a CPU version starting from
02.00.
Important: the backward conversion is not managed and won’t be managed by the converter.

How to proceed
Prerequisites
1. Unity Pro V11.1 must be installed on the PC and must include the Hotfix named
“UnityPro_V111_HF0351921R App. Update - NOC .2 to NOC .3”.
or
Unity Pro V12.0 (or newer) must be installed on the PC

Conversion
1. Go to the following path:

%public%\Documents\Schneider Electric\Unity Pro\Extras\M580 Application Update

2. Launch the file M580ApplicationUpdate.exe.


3. Click on “Choose file” to select your application (the application must be a ZEF file).
4. Click on the “Next” button
5. The next screen will sum-up and check information needed for the conversion:
a. Application (PLC part number and version)
b. Unity Pro: not needed to update the application
c. DTM Library: not needed to update the application
If everything is correct, click on the “Next” button. If not, fix the error(s) found first.
Once the conversion has started, the process is on-going and may take a few minutes to
finish.
6. After the conversion, the link to the converted application will be displayed with the
possibility to open directly the directory containing the document.
Note: the converted application will be stored at the same location than the original
application. The name will be suffixed by _converted.

The converted ZEF file is now ready to be used in Unity Pro. All BMENOC0301 / 311 version .2
have been replaced by version.3.
