‘When the variable-range selector @ is settto the "+1248"
(= ) position, these controls can be used for
continuously varying the level of each frequency response
from +12 dB to 12 dB, and, if the selector @ is set to the
“3 dB" (1m) position, these controls can be used for
‘continuously varying the level of each frequency response
from +3 48 to ~3.
@ Variable-range indicators (variable range)
When the variable-range selector @ is set to tho "+12 dB'
(a=) position, the indicators on the +12 48 side will
illuminate, When the selector @ is sot to the “3 dB'
(4.2) position, the indicators on the +3 dB side will
illuminate,
Note:
If the equalization switch @ is set to the “oft” (mM)
position, these indicators will not illuminate.

radio broadcast or a disc while controlling the frequency
response. Also, compensated playback sound.can be heard
at tis position.

This switch can be used to turn the power on and off

‘This switch can be used to turn the equalization circuitry on
and off, i the switch is set to the “oft” position(.m—),
input signals are sent directly to the output terminals,
without passing through the frequency-equalization
circuitry. When this switch is set to the “off” position
(=), the band-level controls ® can be set to any posi-
tion without affecting the signals, and signals can be heard
even if the power switch @ Is inthe “off” position. Setto the
“on” pasition( A )for control of the frequency response.
The efficiency of this unit can be easily checked by
alternately setting this ewitch to the “on” and “of
positions.
‘See the “Operation” section of the separate sheet for
further informationThis selector can be used to change the adjustment range of
the frequency-response level from +12 dB to +8 dB, or from 2
+3 dB to +12 dB. For instance, when this selector is set to the 3
“12 dB" (m—_)position and the band-level controls ® ar 3
set as shown in figure 1, set this selector to the "+3 dB' =
(4 =) position in order to change the trequency-response
