CLO2 Explain psychological influences on human behaviour.

Case study Guidelines:


1. Form a group of 7 to 10 students.
2. Groups with mixed memberships e.g. males, females, local (ethnicity), international is highly encouraged to
develop harmonious skills among students.
3. Select one questions from the following:

i. Why do psychologists use animals in research and describe the ethical principles associated with
animal studies. (Introduction to Psychology)

ii.Discuss about psychological motives which relate to our daily life experience. (Motivation)

iii.Why are human beings so aggressive? Based on the theories of aggression, suggest ways to reduce
aggressiveness. (Emotion)

iv.Based on what you have learned concerning attitude change, how would you go about changing
people’s attitude. For each technique you would use, explain why do you think would it be
effective. (Social Psychology)

4. Each answer description or discussion must be about 7 to 10 pages.


5. The presentation of your assignments will be based on your creativity and its relationship to the topic discussed
6. It is your responsibility to have the backup files before you submit the assignment to the lecturer for they will not
be returned to you after grading.
7. Marks will be given for originality, creativity, organization, neatness, and design of the content and presentation
of the assignment.

CLO3 Explain real life situations based on psychological concepts

Video Presentation Guidelines:


1. In the same group as project, select a topic from the following:
i. Identify and explain the requirements for using the scientific method in psychology.

ii. People place great importance on intelligence because it is believed that it is closely related to
many important life outcomes such as success in education and work, learning new tasks, and
getting along with people. However, a high level of intelligence does not guarantee success,
accomplishments, or happiness. Discuss and give examples from your own experience.

iii. Discuss how learning the wrong things occurs and how to overcome it. (Learning)

iv. Types of personality disorder; Symptoms; Treatment for personality disorder (Personality)
v. Types of stress and the ways to cope and manage it. (Stress)

2. Study the topic and find a related real-life situation.


3. Prepare a video presentation about your chosen issue (Duration: around 10 minutes).
4. Video presentation should include your explanation of how this real-life situation is related or affected by
the psychological concepts.
5. Examples of the real-life situations may include home, work, or social environment. The explanation must
be clear, understandable and relevant to the chosen situation. More discussion on the explanation can be
made during video review session after the video presentation.
6. Every student must present in the video.
7. Submit/ upload the soft copy of the video by week 12 (Friday, 25 March 2022 )
