Proposed Title: Bicol University Polangui Campus Faculty Appointment System

Rationale:
As new technological trends are invented and innovated to make human activity easier,
the management of a world-class university, Bicol University, must create solutions to a problem.
The administration must limit the number of people interacting with the employee, especially
during this pandemic, to prevent or eradicate virus infection.
The Bicol University Polangui Campus is one of Bicol University's branch campuses, and
each campus has a variety of programs and year levels. Each program has a faculty department
that students can contact if they need help. As part of the professor's and instructor's role, they
guide the students to become a better person and academically knowledgeable about their
course. The Faculty Appointment System (FAS) can be used for each faculty. This system makes
it easier for students and non-teaching staff to schedule appointments. It was created to handle
a day-to-day appointment system. It also saves time and works more efficiently.

Objectives of the Study:


The study aimed to develop a Faculty Appointment System for Bicol University Polangui
Campus that easily manages all the appointments of different faculty of the University.
Determine the problems encountered of Bicol University Polangui Campus in terms of:
a. To gather data regarding the Bicol University Polangui Campus faculty and personnel on
the appointment system.
b. Design and develop a system that is easy for the users to use.
c. Evaluate the proposed system in terms of functionality, reliability, and usability.

Methodology:
The researchers will employ Rapid Application Development (RAD) as part of the study's
methodology. It is an effective technique that promises faster development and higher product
quality than other software development methodologies. It is designed in such a way that a
software developer can easily take advantage of it. The primary goal of this approach is to
accelerate the entire software development process. The study will be carried out within the
given timeframe until it is done.
The rapid application development methodology consists of four steps: planning, user
design, building, and switchover. The user design and development processes are repeated until
the user agrees that the product meets all requirements. By this method, research will work
closely to make fewer mistakes during the whole process. It will deliver the high functionality
website to the customers - the Bicol University Polangui Campus students.

Expected Output:
The proposed study will have a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) that the users
can easily understand. It is less hassle for the students to set an appointment with their professor.
It is also much easier for the faculty to meet the students at their vacant time. It will avoid
overcrowding in the faculty room. The appointment will be automatically saved into the database
that will serve as records for scheduling and setting up the appointments. The process will be
more convenient and fast than lining up and filling out forms.
