SYNOPSIS
REJUVENATION CENTRE
(HEALING SPACE)
INTRODUCTION:
In today's modem life, thanks to the technological breakthroughs and
cutting-edge innovations in every aspect of science, people are at their
cult of busyness, overwork culture, and over scheduled. We all want to
have an ideal future full of successes and amazing moments but it
wouldn't be happening always as future cannot be anticipated easily with
assumptions. People are being over sensitive, over empathetic and gets
emotional so easily. In order to stop themselves for a while and taking a
break from the routine and spend some quality time for their own
wellness through rejuvenating oneself holistically by various therapies,
meditation, yoga and some other healing process.
AIM:
To design a rejuvenation center with a intend to provide all the amenities
required for a holistic and salubrious living of a community. The center
purely concentrates on various aspects to reinforce physical and mental
wellbeing of the user.
WHY REJUVENATION?
Most Indian families opt for vacations that revolve around sight-seeing.
However, the trend is evolving with new facets of wellness, spa and
rejuvenation as its top add-on choices. Rejuvenation Holidays that can
aid people to enjoy quality time together, add some health benefits with
spa treatments can be truly holistic. How do you like the idea of relaxing
together with pampering traditional massages, a light organic meal and
then a tour around to soak up the scenery all around? Most importantly,
exploring and experiencing all the amenities with greater architecture
style. Buildings have the power to interact with the senses (of sight,
smell, sound and touch) and trigger them towards well-being and
rejuvenation. For instance, using building elements and material finishes
keeping in mind the effect they might have on the human brain would be
a step toward such architecture style.
OBJECTIVE:
· To explore how architecture can contribute spaces where healing
can take place
· The understand the focus of the exercise is to establish an
architectural experience that is a part of a force that can maintain and
promote health through sense of journey, inclusiveness, harmony
and balance
· To study and understand about the functioning and benefits of
therapies, meditation, yoga, and other various activities
performed
· To understand the design that looks at the concept of zoning, in order
to engage activity with a distinct atmosphere
· To study how built form can interact with its users, generating
a positive energy
· To study the built-open relationship, thereafter picking ideas
and concepts that could contribute to this design.
SCOPE
· To study and list out the contributions of existing architects and their
practices into this field. This would help us to figure out what are the
various elements and features already used by these architects in
their practice of creating such environs
· A holistic center infusing wellness to the society
· An iconic building which isolates from noises and
unnecessary pollution factors
· This study shall also include the study of books and text by
architects aiming at this field in architecture, which would widen our
knowledge further with respect to the study of rejuvenating effects of
architecture
· The primary analysis of elements of architecture which can be
therapeutic in nature, to generate the environs of rejuvenation.
This
study shall be taking place in a manner where we are going to discuss
the relation of the following with rejuvenation effects
1. Light
2. Material
3. Color
4. Sound
· The relation between human senses (sight, sound, smell, touch)
and the built, focusing on environs that could please these senses
