You acknowledged that your road test may be rejected if ALL requirements are not brought in when you check
in for your road test. YES.

Among the new health and safety measures adopted include requiring road test applicants to wear facial
covering, complete a health screening questionnaire and take a forehead temperature check upon check-in.
The vehicle’s air conditioner must remain off and all windows must remain down during the road test. Please
report to your road test location no later than 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.

Current Hawaii Safety Inspection Certificate
Licensed driver 21 years of age or older.
If you are 16-17 years old, Driver Education Student Completion Certificate and Behind-the-Wheel Student
Completion Certificate are required.
Current Hawaii insurance identification card (NOTE: If you are using an electronic version of the motor vehicle
insurance card, make sure it is accessed directly through the license insurer’s website, application or database. The
mobile app must be downloaded prior to checking in for appointment AND the mobile phone with the electronic version

must be carried during the road test.)


NOTE: The name(s) on the vehicle’s registration card must match the name(s) on the insurance card.

Rescheduling Your Appointment An appointment can only be rescheduled online before 6:00 a.m. of the scheduled
appointment date. If you are unable to keep your appointment and unable to access the Internet please notify the
location where the appointment was scheduled at least one business day prior.

Outstanding Violations Note: Applicants' records are electronically checked against the State Traffic Violations
Bureau (TVB) file to ensure compliance. All outstanding violations must be cleared with the State Traffic Violations
Bureau before you can obtain a driver's license. Failure to obtain either a clearance letter from the TVB (covering the
proper violation period) or having TVB clear your violation record on the electronic files within 30 days of passing the
road test will result in your having to retake the road test. The process may take several days to clear the electronic
records and road test scores are valid for only 30 days, so please plan accordingly. For information on clearing your
