(ii) the time, in hours, spent on a job if the total charges were $ 300

(iii) the fixed charge for a visit.

Draw lines on your graph to show how the values for (c) (i) and (c) (ii) were
obtained.

7. A ball is thrown vertically upwards. Its height, h metres, above the ground after t seconds is
shown in the table below.

value was obtained.

(d) Without further calculations,

(i) write the equation of the axis of symmetry of the graph

(ii) estimate the minimum value of the function y

(iii) state the values of the solutions of the equation: x2 – 2x – 3 = 0.
