Responsible for the support, management, tuning, backup,
recoverability, and documentation of all production, Performance, QA
and development environments.
Work on Oracle, Oracle RAC in Linux/AIX environment. Provide subject
matter expertise and technical leadership in database technology,
best practices.
Work within a focused team to support assigned database.
Assist in development and deployment activity as per implementation
planning.
Develop and implement database performance monitoring process and
analyze monitoring data for performance optimization opportunities
and capacity planning.
Plan for and execute any required database upgrades and migration
activity (patches, etc.)
Follow Change Management Process.
Document and keep Standards updated
Development and scripting knowledge will be added advantage.
Stand-alone Database Configuration & Monitoring
Database Security administration (Implements & enforces security for
all the supporting database)
Good knowledge in Shell programming, PL/SQL
Good knowledge in Database Cloning using RMAN
Good knowledge on Exadata platform
Automation practices , knowledge on automation tools
Excellent knowledge in supporting the database in large Production
environment(s).
Excellent knowledge in investigation & troubleshooting the problems
Good knowledge in Grid, Clusterware and ASM environment(s).
Good Communication skills to manage stakeholders
Ability to coach / lead technical team
