About the course

Prerequisites
• You do not have to have any prerequisite knowledge of
HTML or CSS or webdesign.
Purpose
• You will gain a foundational knowledge of website
creation and be able apply it to the planning, design and
development of your own website over the course of the
semester.

Goals and objectives


• Be familiar with different web design theories and
understand web terminology
• Be able to read and write HTML and CSS code
• Be able to plan & design webpages
• Create a full functioning website
• Understand how to upload websites to a web server
• Utilize WCAG 2.0 and its supporting documents as a
guide to implementing accessible websites
• Apply WCAG 2.0 techniques to develop accessible
layouts, forms, tables, and other content

1/a Website content

• You have to collect/write the content of your


website, and submit it to the Canvas LMS.
• Content for minimum 4 webpages, including web
form, min. 5 images, 1 video, 1 data table.
• The more detailed requirements are availabe in an
Excel file in form of 57 success criteria.

1/b Website wireframe

• Wireframing is a way to design a website


service at the structural level.
• You have to design your website as (digital)
wireframe, and submit it to the Canvas LMS.
• The wireframe must contain all of the pages,
(minimum 4 webpage, web form, etc)

• Document formats: pdf or zipped images

2. Self made website

• You have to develop your static website,


and upload it to the Canvas LMS as ZIP
file.
• It must contain
• at least 4 pages (including the front page
[index.html])
• all of the media elements (images, videos)

3. Self assessment

• You have to make a self check with the help of


the Excel file.
• You need to mark that success criteria, which
are applicable to your work.

4. Mandatory consultation

• You must register for a mandantory consultation


(May 2-6, 2022) and you need to present the
state of your homepage for your instructor.
• The level of readiness must be at least 50%.
• You will have 10 minutes to present your work
and answer the questions.
• For this task you can get 20 points from your
instructor.
