Marisol Lerona BSIT-206 Why Do You Think You Exist? What Is Your Role in The Society?
Why do you think you exist? What is your role in the society?
There are probably millions of people ask this question every day. In fact, all of us tend
to forget the answer of these question because of different problems we are facing today. We
exist because we have different purpose in our life and it’s important to know the purpose why
God created us. Life is very meaningful whether we want it to be or not. Even though we are
living in a world where we are all sinners, indeed life gives us meaning and beauty why we are
still standing in this midst society. Life does not have a question mark hanging over it, it’s
n]always end up with a period. Our life is the starting point and ending point of every reality.
We are all connected with each other. We shared one world. All we can do is embrace it, live a
good life in a meaningful situation and try to make it better as we can.
What is my purpose in life is a question frequently asked by many people as they ponder
the reason for their existence. Life is simple and simply the reason why we are still gaining
knowledge, learning new things, and passing it to others. One very good example of our
existence is a seed, when planted in the garden, it grows into step-by-step process to the
fulfillment of its reason for existing. We exist because we had our purpose in life. Every one of
us is expected to play a role in making other happy. This makes life more meaningful. Life is a
short journey that each and every human has to attempt. But why do people stop thinking
about their importance in the society? Why do they forget that this huge world has a special
space reserved for their role or thinking? As tiny drops of water make up a sea, as small
components of particles come together from their unity and make up a planet, God has given
us an opportunity to change this world in a small way but with our own thoughts not of others.
A society is like a human body. All organs have to work in symbiosis for the body to
function. If one of them is neglected, the whole body will suffer. My role in the society is to be
the immune system and fight the disease of inequality that is strengthened by hatred and
arrogance. It is because of ego why poor people are treated like fleas. If we have had an
opportunity in our life to achieve our dreams, why not share it with others?
I am the phase in which small children have come out of their protective shells and are
ready to spread their wings in the world of hope and dreams. Youth means to cherish hope and
dreams. It is a time of development, growth, and change. I play an important role in the
development of our society. I had the potential to learn and adapt to the environment and the
capability to bring social reforms and improvement to society. My idealism, enthusiasm and
courage cannot be matched with any other segment in the society. Unfortunately, we are the
backbone of a society and hence we determine the future of any given society. This is because
all other age groups, the kids, teenagers, middle aged and the senior citizens rely on us and
expect a lot on us. This makes us an important age group in both today’s society and the future
society than other age groups. Therefore, due to the high dependence on youth in the society,
we have a role to play because the future of our families, communities and the country lies in
our hands.
We can change the future of the society with our well-being and courageous behavior.
We are here to show which we have not been willing to look at within ourselves. More and
more young men of this age group are sitting at home in front of their televisions playing games
all day instead of bettering themselves or going to work. They have no vision and if they do
have dreams they do not have the drive to make any attempt at achieving them. I must get
control of this. I need to motivate the youth. I must teach responsibility and goal setting. I fear if
I do not, we will soon be supporting an entire generation of homeless and needlessly on
welfare families. Things have to change, with our schools, with the older generation being good
role models, with the older generation being mentors, and with the youth who are right now
doing nothing.
