Firmware Upgrade Tool Manual

Please make sure to disconnect all other removeable devices before using Firmware Upgrade Tool.
This firmware tool will not recover lost data. The tool will upgrade the firmware to provide and
maintain the functionality of the USB flash drive.

1. Download the Firmware Upgrade Tool v2.1.8.14.Zip


• Save file to local hard disk (i.e. C :\)

2. Extract the Firmware Upgrade Tool v2.1.8.14.Zip to local hard disk.

3. Open the Firmware Upgrade Tool v2.1.8.14.exe program by double click.

4. Plug in “Non-Functional” 128GB USB Flash Drive. Wait until the Firmware Upgrade Tool
recognizes the USB Flash Drive. Once the USB Flash Drive has been recognized, in the Firmware
Upgrade Tool you will see Device (1) show a drive letter. Click on Start (2) to start the
upgrade process.

Please make sure to disconnect all other removeable devices before using the Firmware Upgrade Tool.

5. A warning message will appear to notify that all data will be “DELETED” during the upgrade
process. Click on “YES” to continue.

6. During the upgrade process, the Progress Bar is shown at the bottom of the Firmware Upgrade Tool.

7. The Firmware Upgrade Tool successfully upgraded the USB Flash drive. Click Ok, close the
Firmware Upgrade Tool and re-plug the USB Flash Drive.
