connection and operation
• Basically GM200 is powered by -48VDC with the default power input terminal block.
• However, if user uses Trimble AC/DC power adapter accessory, user can power GM200 with AC power with 100A ~ 240VAC
range.
• GM200 does not have any alarms related with power input failure or related operation except ‘Relay’ operation.

Calculation Examples
RF in Gain Calculation : GNSS Antenna Gain - (Surge Protector + adapter + Cable Loss) ≥ 20dB
- around 50 meter? Use LMR-400 cable with over 28dB gain antenna such as Bullet 360(5V)
- around 100 meter? User LMR-400 cable with over 40dB gain antenna such as Bullet 40(5V)
- around 150 meter? User LMR-600 cable with over 40dB gain antenna such as Bullet 40(5V)
- around 200 meter? User LMR-400 cable with over 40dB gain antenna such as bullet 40(5V) and In-
o Freerun mode : Typical GM operation for local devices synchronization in short term without GNSS
antenna.
o Boundary clock(BC) mode : Normal Telecom Boundary clock operation without GNSS antenna and you
have to configure one of Eth0 or Eth1 to the master mode and the other Ethernet port has to be
configured with the slave mode.
►Note◄ In the BC mode, all GNSS related configuration is disappeared.
Eth-Port1-Down Depends on user operating situation Can be set during user operation
Eth-Port2-Down Depends on user operating situation Can be set during user operation
• However, Entering HO mode has a condition that GM200 HO Accuracy ± 1.5us for 12 hour After 7 days GNSS learning
must be learning with GNSS reference for more than 24
hours before it is occurred.
Min. learning time of > 24 hours
• If GM200 has not been learning for 24 hours from GNSS GNSS for entering HO
reference, it will not enter to HO mode but will enter Less than 24 hour for Not support to HO It will be in ‘Halt’ mode
‘Halt’ mode which is same as OCXO freerun mode. GNSS learning mode which is freerun of local
OCXO
• Therefore, in the ‘Halt’ mode, GM200 will not guarantee 1 day ~ 6 days for Support HO mode Less accuracy than 7 days
the HO accuracy descripted in datasheet and it will be GNSS learning GNSS locking
drifting.
More than 7 days for Support HO mode Best condition for HO
• Below table shows HO(Holdover) information and GNSS learning accuracy
conditions.
Freq Hold Alarm Occurred when GM200 enters HO Cleared when HO mode

What is APTS?
APTS is time and phase distribution architectures defined in ITU-T G.8275.2.
APTS has emerged as a GNSS‐assisted architecture that uses PTP for backup.
A GM which support APTS generally placed at the edge side.
A GM which receives PTP for backup should be configured as a Slave mode for one PTP interface.
In order to keep the PTP synchronization quality under control the path from the remote GM that generates
the backup clock to the APTS node must be as short as possible.
