ASSESSMENTS

Task 1:
Answer the following questions:
1. What do you observe in the lesson Good Citizenship Values? Why do you say so?
I have observe in the lesson Good Citizenship Values that we are taught to be citizens that can represent
the country in terms of values. We are taught not to be just good people who respects life, we are also
taught to have faith to God, as well as to be people who love the country as we love ourselves. We are
also taught to have a much concern for the environment and for the people around us as well as
ourselves.

2. In your own words, define good citizenship values.

Good citizenship is a root of loving our own country. It also unites us to be able to be of help to our
country. No matter the age, our status in life, we are taught to be a good citizen. Being a good citizen
can define our country's values and every Filipino as a whole. For example or culture of being
hospitable, all Filipinos are expected to be so welcoming and good to visitors may it be in our houses or
the country.

3. How do you show your faith in the Almighty God? According to the discussion of Maka
Diyos in this module, what is the first step that you should do to show faith in the
Almighty God?
For me, I can see my present in a right way. I prepare my self to obey his commandments and be a good
role model to other people. In the present, I am ready to face his challenges that will measure my
capabilities in life. As long as I have faith in Him, I can do everything. In the future, I am confident that I
will be successful in my objectives or goals in life. Because of Him, I will not forget the people who are
there when I need help. I want to be a instrument to one's person success in the future.

4. Prophet Jeremiah said ‘This is what the Almighty says: “when seventy years are
completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you  back
to this place. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Almighty God,  “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then  you will come
upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”’ Using the  prophecy of the
Prophet Jeremiah, how do you find your present and future with the  Almighty God?
5. How can you show your respect for life?
When we talk about the environment, we are not only talking about the things, places and everything
that we see and surround us but as a whole, including the people and how they treat others and how
they move. The society evolves and develops according to everyone and everything inside it. Of course,
the environment is important in the development of the society for it creates the people’s nature and
where the people are doing their tasks, jobs and anything they are busy with. The environment must be
a safe place for everyone and of course, the environment must be safe from us. We, people base the
success and development through what we see. While the environment is healthy, it then starts to
produce healthy people and eventually, a healthy society. We all want our society to develop into
something better but let us not forget that we should not let our own environment to be destroyed. The
environment being destroyed is and must never be equal to a developed society.

6. Have you ever been in love? Do you feel you are loved?
I have been in love and I am always in love, in a way that I appreciate everything around me.
The way the people around me respects and remember even just a little thing about me, I can
say I feel loved.
7. What is your standard of love?
I actually don’t have a standard for love. Gaining the trust and respect and being appreciated
and accepted probably is how you can say you are loved.
8. The Golden Rule says “Do unto others what you want others do unto you”. What do  you
think is the standard of love if we consider this rule?
For me, this golden rule is very important lesson to all of us. As a student, we must understand and learn
this golden rule. It simple, you treat people with kindness they will treat you also kindness. You should
treat others the way you would like to be treated because it’s like what you give is what you get. If you
treat them unfairly and hurt them, they will do the same to you. We need to learn the importance of
giving respect to other people because it represents us. It represents our family and our identity. By
giving respect to other people, we are creating social relationship to one another. We socialize our self
to healthier environment and healthy neighbourhood. But if our environment is so toxic and unhealthy
for you. You can make that change because you can be the role model of the community. You can be the
start of the new beginning. All we need is just respect one another.

9. What is the importance of the environment in the development of the society? Why do
you say so?
Life is the most precious thing in life. As we grow up, we come to realize the importance of life and why
we should be taking care and cherishing it. In just simply appreciating the life we have, that is already
respecting life. We might think that life is unfair, whether it favors us or not, we must still be good and
kind to everyone. When we are talking about life, we are not only pertaining to the human life but also
animals and all the living creatures in the world. When we are throwing our trashes in the right bin, we
are already showing our respect for life. Conserving resources, taking good care of the animals and being
good to everyone is a way to show our respect for life. We may not be able to say that we respect life
but just simply doing the right thing, we all are being able to give respect them. We must not look at
some people like they are the worst thing in the world. We must also not be the kind of people who will
do anything we want without consent, for example, touching a person, getting things without
permission and even taking pictures o someone.

10. In your own ways, how can you contribute in the protection of the environment from its
threats?
I can contribute in the protection of the environment from its threats even by just simply conserving
water. I should also not throw garbage anywhere but the trash bin. We are living this world for free, we
might as well take good care o it even by just doing simple things

a. Maka-Diyos
I have always been active in church activities since I was a kid and I think that
makes me Maka-Diyos everytime.
b. Makatao
I am always trying to recognize and connect people. I am the kind of person who prefers to be a
listener than a speaker. We don’t know, people sometimes need someone who could listen to
their stories, rants and anything and I think that is important.
c. Makakalikasan
I have always been an advocate of taking good care of the environment. I always try to recycle
instead fof throwing things that ca still be used and I don’t throw my garbage anywhere.
d. Makabansa/makabayan

promoting our own.

they want, we are taught to work for what we want. We are raised to be able to move on our
own.
Hardwork and Industry – during this pandemic, I tried to help out so I made my own
business (Crochet business) since my mother can not go to work because of restrictions. I
made my business also because I want to do what I love.
Joy and Humor – I always try to be positive in different situations and I try to make everyone
around me happy even in tough times.
Personalism – I always make sure to include someone or anyone in the conversation. I hate
leaving anyone out of the talk.
2. Identify at least five (5) weaknesses of Filipino character that you think you possess.
What are the steps do you take to change these weaknesses into strength?
Ningas Kugon – I have always been active and enthusiastic in starting things but I gradually
lose interest and I can not deny that.
Bahala Na – whenever I do not know what to do or is pressured about something, I end
either not doing anything or just say “bahala na”
Utang na Loob – I am always held back by this utang na loob from the people who helps me
that is why I learned to refuse to ask for any help.
Manana Habit – I tend to leave tasks for tomorrow, thinking that I always have enough time
