QUESTIONS:

All calculations must be done using Excel formulas.

Activity 1: Create a Sales spreadsheet

1. Open a new worksheet and rename it Bonus

2. Add the following labels across Row 1:
3. Add the names of the sales reps in Column A: Alex, Kathy, Eliza, Nick, and Sara.
4. Add the following sales data in Column B.
5. Format Column B and D for currency and Column E for percent

SSK3000 Sem. 2 2015/2016 Update : 24/8/2015

6. Add the following data:

  A B C D E F
Bonus Bonus
1 Reps Sales Goal Percent
Percent Check
2 Alex RM3,500.00 RM2,500 5%
3 Kathy RM8,310.00 RM5,000 10%
4 Eliza RM8,170.00 RM7,500 15%
5 Nick RM13,560.00 RM10,000 20%
6 Sara RM6,500.00 RM3,000 5%

 Calculate the Bonus Percent with the Sales Lookup table

Select cell C2 and go to Formulas-> Insert Function

From the category list, choose Lookup and Reference, find VLookup
The first prompt asks: "Where is the data?" The sales data for Alex is Cell B2.

The second prompt asks: "Where is the look up table?” For the range, use the red, white
and blue Find button to go to the spreadsheet to select the cells D2 through E6.

The third prompt asks: “Where are the answers?” In our two column Sales table, the
correct percentages are located in Column 2.

 Calculate the Bonus Check

Now all of the pieces are in place to figure out how much bonus the sales representatives
receive. Select Cell F2 and enter the following equation = B2*C2

 Plot a column chart of Bonus Check vs. Name(Reps)

 Save the spreadsheet and name it: Excel Activity 1

Selangor.
3. Highlight District(s) with highest no. of dengue cases for W3.
4. Highlight District(s) with lowest no. of dengue cases for W3.
5. Count the Districts with no. of dengue cases in W2 are greater than 500 cases.
6. Calculate the percentage difference of dengue cases between the weeks.
7. Create a line chart to show the statistics.
8. Find the average number of dengue cases in W1, W2 and W3 for every district in
Selangor.
9. Create a line chart to show the contribution of each week to the dengue cases for
each district (example in Figure 1).
