I. Objective
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
Illustrate how rocks are formed
Identify and classify the types of rocks

2. Review
Teacher shows a picture of “different
rocks” and ask students to define a rock
based on the previous lesson. Teachers
also confirm the answers and give them
the correct definition. Rocks
- is a relatively common aggregate of mineral

B. Developmental Activities

Teacher asks students:

the color and texture of rock?
Teacher compliments the students who

2. Analysis
Teacher explains that due to the rock cycle
process the color and texture of a rock can
help to determine/classify of what type of
rock does it belong.
3. Abstraction
Teacher explains that today, she will help
the class understand more about rock cycle
and its classification.
4. Application
The teacher invites students to give their
insights about the importance of rock cycle to
human daily lives in real life scenario.
5. Concluding Activity
Teacher and students illustrates together
the rock cycles and its classification.
IV. Evaluation
Teacher announces a quiz and instructs students to prepare ½ crosswise of intermediate pad.
Teacher shows slide #5. Then warns the students not to copy answers to their seatmates.
Answered papers will be pass after 15 minutes.
