Reading Accomplishment Report 2018

The Kauswagan Elementary School in Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines implemented a reading program to reduce the number of non-readers in grades 1 and 2. The program conducted literacy activities and assessments. It screened learners and provided reading materials and teacher training. As a result, the number of grade 1 non-readers decreased from 41 to 40 by the end of the school year, while the number of learners frustrated in English and Filipino reading decreased as well. The program was deemed successful in achieving its objectives.

School Year 2018-2019

I. INTRODUCTION

With the objective, to reduce the number Non – Readers from grades 1 and 2 at the end of the
School Year of 2019 and to reduce the number of pupilsFrustration Level the Reading Committee Team
headed by the Reading Coordinator Mrs. Leah A. Balofinos, Conducted different literacy activities.

II. STAGES OF THE PROGRAM

1. Conducting Orientation to the volunteer teachers and volunteer students who wants to be part of the
program and want to impart their knowledge in each session of the program.
2. Coordinating with the School administrator and barangay captain of the target pupils that needs
reading remediation.
3. Literacy Mapping of learners of school year 2018-2019 .
4. Implementing the literacy mapping and screening of the Learners.
5. Screening and administering the EGRA for Grade 1 and Phil IRI Test of the Learners
6. Conducting an orientation program for learners and parents who BELONGS TO Non- Reade and
Frustration Level
7. Coordinates with the school heads to provide access of learning materials and resources like
supplementary Reading Materials appropriate for the learners.
8. Conducting sessions of meeting and seminars for subject teachers regarding the class schedule
program and the preparation of the documents to be accomplish like Teacher’s Learning plan,
Student Learning plan, learner’s progress chart and learner’s unaccomplished Learning Activity
Sheets
9. Determining the promoted Readers in the end of the school year.
III. ACCOMPLISHMENTS

1. On the first and second quarter of the implementation of the program, all class advisers involved
themselves in the implementation of Project CARD .
2. Literacy mapping and visiting in different barangay was conducted
a. 41 grade 1 entrants were considered Non – Reader during the Pre-test and 40
learners were considered reader at the end of the school year.
b. 43 identified learners under frustration level during Pre- test in English were
reduced to 14 learners in Post Test
c. 46 identified learners under frustration level during Pre- test in Filipino were
reduced to 16 learners in Post Test

I. INTRODUCTION

With the objective of “Improving journalistic skills of students” through rigid training. capable and
responsible student-writers in school publication committed to quality campus journalism. Make them a
fulfilled students in joining the group and individual contest.

II. STAGES

1. Conducting meetings of the co teachers in Filipino for the schedule of the orientation and the
estimated budget of orientation and training session in each category on campus journalism
2. The organizers of the program sought the help of the school administrator to conduct a seminar
workshop for the students in preparation to press conference and for the contest of the school paper
Ing Mamalakaya .
3. Inviting resource speakers for the seminar workshop of the students and teachers on campus
journalism
4. Conducting rigid training of the chosen students in the orientation for the preparation of Cluster
Press Con until onwards on the higher level of the contest. And reached the deadline of the
submission of school paper for the Division Contest
5. Submitting the financial report in each school year.

III. ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1. We conducted seminar worshop in the school and invited Sir. Jun Cunanan, , Mr. Pagaduan and
Sir Proceso Bonifacio as our lecturer / resource speaker.
2. We conducted also regular training session with the student and the preparation of the school
paper.
3. Our Delegates won in the Cluster Press Conference as the overall champion for the school year
2013-2014 and Second place in Editorial writing in the Division level . The school paper
“Mamalakaya”also won in division level, and Regional Level.

TAUNANG ULAT SA MGA NAISAKATUPARAN


I. PANIMULA

Ang Palatutunan sa Pnalunas sa Pagbasa ay may layuning matulungan at matutukan ang


mga mag-aaral na di nakababasa. Upang maisakatuparan ang tunguhin ng programa, ang bawat
gawaing inihanda at binuo ay dumaan sa proseso ng pagpaplano.

II. PROSESO SA PAGSASAGAWA NG PROGRAMA


1. Pagkilala sa mga mag-aaral na di nakababasa sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng paunang pagsusulit
sa pagbasa sa mga mag-aaral na nasa Baitang 7.
2. Pakikipag-ugnayan sa administrasyon ng paaralan para sa paghingi ng pahintulot ng magkarron ng
isang silid na magagamit bilang sentro ng pagbasa.
3. Pagbibigay kaalaman sa mga magulang ng mag-aaral na sasailalim sa programa sa pamamagitan ng
paanyaya na dumalo sa isang pagpupulong.
4. Paglulunsad ng seminar worksyap sa mga magulang na nasabing mga mag-aaral bilang pakikiisa sa
pagsasakatuparan ng programa. Pagsasanay na maturuang ang sariling anak sa pagbasa,bilang
paunang lunas o ang proyektong Pakikiisa ng Magulang sa Panlunas sa Pagbasa o project PMP sa
kahinaan ng mga-aaral sa pagbasa na magaganap mula Hulyo Hangang Setyembre ng taong 2013.
Pagkatapos maisagawa ang Unang hakbang na panlunas, sasailalim sa pagsusulit na pasulat at
pasalita ang mga mag-aaral.
5. Ang mga mag-aaral na di pumasa sa pagsusulit, sasailalim sa pangalawang hakbang sa panlunas sa
pagbasa.
6. Pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga gurong tagapayo at mga mag-aaral sa Ikatlong taon ng Unang Seksyon
para sa pagsasakatuparan ng proyektong “Kalinga ni Kuya at Ate Approach”.Sasailalim sa
pagsasanay ang mga mag-aaral na nasa Unang Seksyon ng Ikatlong taon upang mahusay na
maisakatuparan ang ikalawang panlunas sa pagbasa. Magaganap ang pagsasakatupran ng ikalawang
proyekto ng programa mula sa buwan ng Oktubre Hanggang Disyembre ng taong 2013 .
7. Pagkatapos maisagawa ang Ikalawang hakbang na panlunas, sasailalim pa rin sa pagsusulit na
pasulat at pasalita ang mga mag-aaral. At ang mga mag-aaral na di pumasa sa pagsusulit, sasailalim
sa Ikatlong hakbang sa panlunas sa pagbasa.
8. Pakikipag-ugnayan sa pamunuan ng SAMAFIL at gurong tagapayo upang maisakatuparan ang
huling interbensyon na magsisilbing panlunas sa mga kahinaan ng mga natitirang mag-aaral na di
pumasa sa pagsusulit. Ang proyektong “A Student A Day” o ASAD ay isasagawa ng pamunuan ng
SAMAFIL mula sa buwan ng Enero hanggang sa uang linggo ng Marso ng taong 2014. Sasailalim
din sa pagsasanay ang pamunuan ng SAMAFIL sa pagsasakatuparan.
9. Pagbibigay ng huling pagsusulit na pasalita at pasulat sa pagbasa ng mga natitirang mag-aaral na
sumailalim sa proyektong ASAD. Magkakaroon ng intensibong pagsasanay lahat ng mag-aaral na
sumailalim sa programa mula sa unang hakbang ng pagsasagawa ng interbensyon.

III. MGA NAISAKATUPARAN


1. Pitongpu’t dalawa (72) ang mga mag-aaral sa Baitang 7 ang nakilala at sasailalim sa programa sa
panlunas sa pagbasa
2. Naisakatuparan ang tatlong interbensyong inihanda upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mag
aaral na matuto at mahasa sa pagbasa
a. Ang Proyektong PMP (Pakikiisa ng Magulang sa Panlunas) ang unang hakbang na
panlunas sa kahinaan sa pagbasa ng 72 mga mag-aaral na sasailalim sa programa.
Kaugnay nito nailunsad ang seminar worksyap ng mga magulang bilang magiging guro sa
pagbasa ng sariling anak.
b. Ang proyektong “Kalinga ni Kuya at Ate Approach” na naisagawa ng mga mag-aaral ng
Ikatlong taon (III-Argon) ang pagtuturo sa pagbasa ng 33 na mag-aaral na sumasailim sa
programa na di pumasa sa unang pagsusulit na naibigay. Sumailalim din sa pagsasanay
ang mga mag-aaral sa Ikatlong taon sa pagsasagawa ng programa.
c. Ang proyektong “A Student A Day” o ASAD ang huling interbensyon na isinakatuparan
ng pamunuan ng SAMAFIL sa pitong (7) mga mag-aaral na di pumasa sa ikalawang
pagsusulit. Nagkarron din ng pagsasanay ang pamuan ng SAMAFIL bago isinagawa ang
huling proyeto ng palatuntunan,
3. Naisagawa ang intensibong pagsasanay sa pagbasa sa lahat ng mag-aaral na sumailalim sa programa.

On the first and second quarter of the implementation of the program, we have eight
volunteered subject teachers. And on the third and fourth quarter the volunteered teachers
increasing to sixteen teachers.

d. Literacy mapping and visiting in different barangay was conducted


e. A total of One Hundred Eleven (114) out of school youths and adults and two (2)
Student at risk of dropping out (SARDO) were identified in different barangays of
Masantol.
a. Fifty Nine Learners (59) were motivated to go back in regular schooling and they’re
the recipient of the YECS’ program, granted them a scholarship from the guidance
Counselor’s program.
b. Twenty (20) Learners decided to underwent in our ALS A& E Review Program
c. Thirty Seven (37) Learners qualified to enrolled in OHS program that thay were
underwent in the process of screening, interviewing and taking the ILRT and IRI
Test
f. The OHSP Learners and parents were oriented in the implementation of the program.
g. The teaching session of the learners and subject teachers were in the modular approach
h. The regular session of meetings of the subject teachers was conducted in connection with
the learners’ progress and regarding the documents to accomplish and any changes in the
class schedule program
i. Twenty four (24) OHSP Learners promoted and Eight (8) Learners were passed the ALS
A & E Test.
