This film tells the story of the magical Madrigal family who live in Colombia. The family is respected for their gifts of magic bestowed by Abuela Alma. While Alma's daughters Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno received gifts, Mirabel is the only family member who did not receive powers. Mirabel notices something threatening the family home and tries to warn her family, but they don't believe her since she lacks magic. She realizes she must find her missing uncle Bruno to solve the problem.

This film tells the story of the Madrigal family who live in a community surrounded by mountains in

Colombia. This family is highly respected by the members of the community because they are
endowed with magic that helps them. The head of this family is Abuela Alma Madrigal. She gets the
gift of turning a magic candle when she and her husband, Pedro Madrigal, try to save themselves
from being chased by criminals who are attacking their village. At that time, Alma and Pedro had just
been blessed with three twins, namely Julieta's magic could cure every disease with just food,
Bruno's magic could see the future and Pepa's magic affected the weather. At a certain age, the
descendants of this Madrigal family will get a door in their magical house. When the door is opened,
they will know what gift they will receive. Everything runs smoothly. The three children of Alma each
got their own gifts. However, this is not the case with their children. Julieta is married to Agustin and
they have three daughters, namely Isabela the perfect magic can grow beautiful flowers, Luisa the
big magic can lift heavy things and Mirabel doesn't get the gift of magic. Meanwhile, Pepa, who is
married to Carlos, also has three children, namely Dolores' magic can hear long distances, Camilo's
magic can change her shape and face and Antonio's magic can talk to animals. Isabela, Luisa, Dolores
and Camilo all get the gift of magic. But, not with Mirabel. Mirabel was also disheartened because
she was the only one among her family members who did not get the gift. Even though her father
and mother love her very much, Mirabel gets a little different treatment from Alma. His
grandmother (Abuela) was very hard on him. Mirabel also felt it. There are times when he feels “left
out” because he doesn't have that gift. One day, Mirabel saw something that could not happen to
the family house she lived in that threatened the continuity of their magic. He tried to tell his family.
Honey, no one believed him. Mirabel finally knew the way to solve the problem was to find her
missing uncle, Bruno.

featuring an interesting spectacle full of bright colors and songs that are also cheerful. Lin-Miranda
Manuel's touch in the songs featured in Encanto makes this film even more alive. Deep lyrics
combined with upbeat music make this film even more enjoyable. Encanto doesn't have a villain that
the main character has to deal with. The main problem is with the family itself. How they accept the
different conditions of one of their members and also deal with the fading magic.
