The applicant is seeking admission to study a Global BSC in Business Management at the University of East London. Some of the key reasons cited are the limited opportunities and competition in Indian universities as well as exposure to latest technologies and practices not available in India.

The applicant has completed intermediate education from Little Flower Convent School in 2019 with 69% and matriculation from the same school in 2017 with a CGPA of 8.6. Business, Economics and Accountancy were the major subjects of study.

After completing 12th grade, the applicant worked for approximately 1 year at Ramanuj Dixit and Associates where responsibilities included maintaining client databases, answering phone calls and providing user support.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Respected Sir/Mam,

It is my pleasure to introduce myself in front of the honorable university official. My name is Arshdeep Singh. I was born and brought
up of a district Shahjahanpur, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in the northern part of India. Deciding on a career choice is a
difficult decision to make because it affects your future as a whole. When I departed upon the path to search for my career choice I
realized I was presented with multiple career options and got baffled for what I wanted to choose but I quickly discovered that I had a
fascination towards Business.

First I begin with my credentials; I have completed my intermediate from little flower convent school with 69% in 2019. My Year 12
was affiliated to CBSE. However, I have completed my matriculation in the year 2017 from the Little Flower Convent School with
CGPA 8.6. I studied Business, Economics & accountancy as the major subjects. My passport number is S6204438 and DOB is
15/06/1998.

With due diligence and respect I am putting forth my student visa plea to United Kingdom for studying Global BSC Business
Management from University of East London.

About family:

I belong to a family where moral values and ethics are given their highest priority. In my family, my father Mr. Manjinder Singh is a
reputed agriculturist and my financial sponsor too. My father possesses huge acreage of ancestral lands and maintaining it in a very
diligent manner. He has good source of income from ancestral lands and running the family by providing every basic facility and
luxuries to his children. I have enclosed my financial evidence to support my statement. My mother Mrs. Baljinder Kaur is a
homemaker.

Work Experience:

After completing my 12th grade I got an opportunity to work in a company Ramanuj Dixit and associates where my job responsibilities
was to maintain database of clients, answering phone calls and provide user end support to clients. I worked there for 1 year
approximately where I learned lot of things about business and management.

The Research I did in India

After completion of my class 12th, it was a time when I have to take the important decision of my life as it is only education that can help
me to build a strong career and future. I want to be quite sure about the future perspective of my chosen course hence I found that the
normal graduation degree in India is neither upgraded nor has that value which its deserve. During the research tenure, I met with many
students elder to me who share their experiences and studies. Some business students told me the scope of foreign education and also
update the shortcomings in the education system and lack of modernization which is the first demand of time.

Indian educational providers offer several options to study as an undergraduate program in Bachelor of Business. So, after getting
completed with my higher secondary education I had primarily searched few university options close to my hometown including
University of Delhi, Punjab University, IIMs, and XLRI which are one of the top most universities in my country. Considering
University of Delhi; few highly reputed colleges are St. Stephen’s College; Hindu College; Shri Ram College of Commerce. However, I
got sabotaged with the ever increasing competition and unnecessary pressure and burden of clearing entrance examinations to get
admission in the streams like engineering, business and medical schools which made me to move out of my home country for higher
studies. Even after studying so hard and getting a very good percentage of the students do not get admission and for getting enrolled in
private institutions they have to pay hefty amounts and still have to compromise with the quality.

Moreover, even the average rated colleges like Deshbandu College or Khalsa College etc. in India have a cutoff percentage as 89%. In
addition to all the facts, this can also not to be neglected that Indian education system still needs to adapt to the latest technologies and
research work in their teaching practices. Adopting new technology and latest practices require capital investment which is beyond the
budgeted capacity of many smaller colleges. Furthermore, colleges which are able to acquire the latest technical knowhow do not have
adequate resources as compared to the number of students recruited, which affects the overall learning experience of the students. A
degree benefit provided by foreign universities attracts students from India. Indian education is very strict in terms of courses offered
and the way these are taught. But most foreign universities are very flexible and I have option to choose from a range of subjects.

Why UK:-

These days the UK has become the most popular destination for education and welcomes international students with warmth. A huge
number of students choose to study in the UK because of its high education quality and diverse culture as well. Education from UK
University is well recognized all over the world and would unlock many opportunities to me, especially in India. At present time, when
compared with other countries the UK has many opportunities for international students such as, most of the universities provide an
internship to the students which helps them to get practical knowledge, the universities offer scholarships to international students based
on their academics, which lesions the tuition fee burden and the courses offered by the universities are well structured and gives stress
free learning without overburdening them. Student gets opportunities to enhance their knowledge and potential to the fullest. The UK is
the best place to learn and improve English as the UK is the origin of the language. Moreover, the student is allowed to work for 20
hours per week and full time during vacation which is again a big plus of the UK education system. The sandwich course modules for
some courses are very beneficial to gain practicality of learning and to get familiar with international work exposure.

Why University of East London:

During my search for various study destinations for my education I came across University of East London as I heard a lot about the
university from my seniors and gathered more information on the university. Firstly the location of the university is close to London
which reduces the travel time and ensures the availability of requirement easily. Further I went through the course content and found
it pretty much of my interest and more than the interest I found it relevant and updated good enough to compete in today’s globalised
world. Here I would be acquiring the knowledge of accounting and business, principles of marketing, economics for business,
operation management, business communication, change management, accounting for business, entrepreneurship and leadership,
international business management and lot more..The teaching methodology comprises theory and practical both. The university is
well known for its quality teaching and highly qualified faculty. The course structure is designed to meet the employer need and
relevant to today’s business.

Future vision after completion of the course

With this degree, the market will throw up multiple options with each specialization. I can look for job roles relating to finance,
accounting and many more. Apart from these options one can think about the banking sector with huge growth in banks and financial
services. With e-commerce coming up so well, there are numerous openings for those with fresh ideas and a demonstrated ability to
analyze numerical data. After completing my graduation, I would take up the benefit of work permit which will enhance my work
profile on huge level as there is work placement in my work and I can get the opportunities to work with top- most companies of United
Kingdom like Argos, Boots, Halifax, KPMG, Marks and Spencer, Marriott Hotels and many more and this would be beneficial to me
when I come back to my country. Though the remuneration differs with the field and job description, it is a wide range and one can
easily climb the corporate ladder by working on the posts of accountant, financial manager, business analyst etc in the reputed
organizations of my country like HDFC, ICICI, RELIANCE INDUSTRIES, COAL INDIA, NEYVELLI LIGNITE etc and can easily
draw the expectable package starting with 6 to 7 lakhs per annum in my own country through which I will be able to maintain a style
quotient and provide a wealthy living for myself and my family.

Lucrative to return back to home country

Before letting my pen down, I would like to clarify more terms which are quite certain to happen when I come back from UK. I will get
to know myself better as the immersion experience of living in UK as the study offers me an opportunity to know myself better. I will be
living by myself or with new friends, far away from my family and while this might not be an easy thing, I will meet the real me. This
might help me develop some life skills that can also be valuable in my career. I might find myself becoming more organized, more
disciplined and definitely more confident. I will learn to respect diversity as I meet students from different countries and cultures. It
doesn’t mean that if I decide to study in my home country I won’t respect diversity, but it simply means that meeting different people
from different countries will help me to understand the true diversity even more.

I will turn into a self-confident person as one of the greatest benefits I get while studying in UK is that the degree I accomplish will
make my curriculum vitae much more interesting. This not only makes me stand out above other job candidates in India but it also
boosts my self-confidence. Studying in UK can prove to be a challenge to some people at times but from the experience I get, I will
emerge to be a wiser person with better social skills and I will certainly return home a better, happier and a more inspiring version of
myself.

To sum up, studying in UK will influence my career and even my personal development in a way I cannot imagine. I will find myself
tapping on sides of myself that I didn’t know ever existed. I become stronger, more confident, and definitely more certain of myself. I
will return home, with an incomparable competitive advantage that will me make me stand out whether I want to land in my dream job
or kick-start my entrepreneurial career. I promise to keep all rules and regulations enclosing with my student visa application. I
understand and respect all the norms being a bonafide student for the country. Please give me a chance to learn more and expand my
horizons.

Yours faithfully,

Arshdeep Singh
