AWS - S3 Integration Guide

Overview
ExacqVision supports the ability to archive local storage video to the Amazon Web Services S3 buckets. The user
is responsible for bucket creation and maintenance. The Archiving page in the exacqVision is used to configure
and monitor the state of the upload. Cloud video can be searched seamlessly using the exacqVision desktop client
application or exacqVision mobile app.

Requirements
exacqVision Server 20.12
exacqVision Client 20.12
exacqVision license: Enterprise

AWS S3 Bucket
The user is responsible for bucket creation and maintenance. Only 1 recorder per bucket can be configured for
archiving.
1. Login to your AWS Console
2. Navigate to S3 service under Services
3. Click the Create Bucket button to create a new bucket for your exacqVision recorder.

4. Fill out the bucket fields by giving it a name and desired region. Default settings on the bucket are
acceptable. Note these values as they will be needed for the configuration of Archiving in exacqVision

5. Click the Create Bucket button to complete the creation process

exacqVision Archiving
1. Open exacqVision Client desktop application and navigate to the Archive configuration page

2. Click New and select Amazon S3 from the Type drop down

3. Click the S3 Address Builder button next to the Address field. Input the bucket name and region. Same as
when you created the bucket in AWS Console. Then click OK.

4. Note that the address field is populated with the proper URL for your bucket.
Do not change the field manually. It is better to use the Amazon S3 Address Builder.

5. Enter Access ID and Secret keys. These are not the same as AWS Console credentials. If needed get the
Access ID and Secret keys from your IT administrator.

6. Click Apply.

Your S3 archive target is now created. Please use the exacqVision help file to configure the archive features:
Archive Schedule (when to archive) and Archive Task (what to archive)
