MICROSOFT WORD EXERCISE 1 _ (Home Tab)


OBJECTIVES:

● Recognize different standard and formatting icons and their functions.


● Follow instructions accurately.
● Claim proficiency in word application.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Read the following instructions then apply the corresponding Formatting Icons given on each item. Format
only the instructions and not the icon name. Remember to use the UNDO button (CTRL + Z) every time you
make a mistake on any part of the exercise.

1. BOLD
Apply bold format in this line of text.

2. ITALIC
Change this line of text to italic.

3. UNDERLINE & STRIKETHROUGH


Underline the words underline in this line of text.
Apply strikethrough on the words strikethrough.
Apply double underline in this line of text.
Underline only the words in this line of text.

4. FONT STYLE AND FONT SIZE

Change the font style of this line of text to


any font style you prefer then change the
font size to 30 pt.
Note: You can change the font size by using Increase Font / Decrease Font icon on the ribbon.
Using Live Preview in MSWord2016 – temporarily applies formatting on selected text or objects
whenever a formatting command is hovered. This allows you to quickly preview how the formatting
options will look before they are made.

subscript.
