myViewBoard.com

To get the most out of myViewBoard you’ll want to make sure you have a myViewBoard.com
account. Having an account gives you access to all the features of myViewBoard including
cloud sync and the FollowMe AI tool.

Signing Up
Head over to www.myviewboard.com to get started. On the right of the homepage you’ll see an
option to sign up with Google, sign up with Microsoft or a non-Google/Microsoft email. Choose
the one that your school account is connected to!

Google
If your district uses Google, simply click the
“Sign in with Google” link. You’ll be asked to
select your Google account (make sure it’s your
school account) and you might have to enter
your password. You’ll get a screen that asks for
you to give permission for myViewBoard to
access your Google Drive. It’s okay, give
permission as this will allow you to sync all your
lessons and media. Once signed in fill out the
quick information that includes your name, what
you teach and a custom name for your
myViewBoard (we’ll use it later)

Microsoft (Office 365/Exchange)

Much like the Google sign in, you’ll select “Sign
in with Microsoft.” You’ll be asked to pick your
email (make sure it’s your school email and not
your personal). You might have to enter a
password and give permission for myViewBoard to access your OneDrive. Once signed in fill
out the quick information that includes your name, what you teach and a custom name for your
myViewBoard (we’ll use it later)

Other Emails
Don’t have a Microsoft or Google? No worries! Just fill out the boxes underneath the Google
and Microsoft logins and get your account!

Navigating myViewBoard.com
Now that you have an account, let’s get comfortable with a few of the tools and make sure
everything is set up the way it should be! At the top you’ll notice the navigation menu below.

From left to right the tools are Throw Tool, Send Screen, Receive Screen, Remote Control,
Cloud Integration, FollowMe AI, Downloads and Join a Quickboard. It’s important to note that
depending on the type of account you have you MAY NOT have access to all the menu items
shown.

Cloud Integration
Cloud integration lets you connect your Google Drive, Dropbox, Box OneDrive
or OneDrive for Business cloud accounts to myViewBoard. This is especially
helpful when you want to save media, lessons and other content to the cloud.
Check whichever account you wish to use (if none are selected) and follow the
directions to bind your account. Note that you are allowed to add multiple
accounts. In your cloud account a folder is created called “myViewBoard.” When accessing
various tools in myViewBoard the program will look in this folder.
Default folders that are created include Background, Canvas, Magic
Line Pen, Media, Shape Pen, and Throw. Other folders like Pop Quiz
and QR Share show up when you activate those in myViewBoard.

FollowMe AI MyViewBoard.com
In the FollowMe AI page you’ll find most of your
settings. Setting your default preferences are important
as everytime you sign in to the myViewBoard program,
you’ll settings will be automatically loaded.

● Sign in with QR Code
○ Another way you can sign in is by using the myViewBoard Companion App for
your mobile device. When you download the app it will ask you to sign in with an
email. If you signed up with GSuite or Office 365 it’s important to note that you
need to go into myViewBoard.com and change your password. You can do this
by accessing the Profile Menu at myViewBoard.com. NOTE that when you reset
your password you’ll need to sign in to the myViewBoard program using the
Email method (not the GSuite or Microsoft method) OR using the Compion App
and scanning the QR Code.

Backgrounds

The backgrounds menu allows you to

easily change your
background to a picture
or a color. You can find
the background Icon in
the bottom left of your
screen when using myViewBoard.
Some backgrounds are built in while
others you can sync using the
FollowMe AI Tool. In the image on
the left, from left to right you can see
the FollowMe AI Backgrounds, Color
Backgrounds, Built In Backgrounds, Backgrounds on your Hard Drive, Upload from Your Hard
Drive. Next to these are Grid Background, Confidential Watermark and Date/Time Watermark.
Note that in order to set a background, touch/select your background then choose if
you’d like to apply your background to one page, or all pages.

FollowMe AI Backgrounds
This option is the first option in the backgrounds menu and will only appear when
you are signed in to myViewBoard. FollowMe AI backgrounds sync from your
cloud folder labeled “Backgrounds” in your cloud myViewBoard folder. This folder
is created when you bind your Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Box or
Dropbox account in myViewBoard.com.

Color Backgrounds
In addition to backgrounds that you’ve picked, you can likewise just pick solid
colors. You have some primary colors (when you click on one color the top row
changes to show various shades of that color) or you can click the on “+” icon to
get more advanced colors.

Built-In Background
These backgrounds are pre-loaded. These include sports, music and other theme
specific backgrounds.

Backgrounds on Your Hard Drive

A little old school but you can upload images from your hard drive
to use as backgrounds if they’re stored locally or you downloaded
them. The Hard Drive icon with the “Up” arrow adds images from
your hard drive to myViewBoard. The Hard Drive icon WITHOUT
the “Up” arrow remembers the images you’ve uploaded so you
don’t have to go find them again.

Grid, Confidential Watermark and Date Time

No matter what background you’ve selected, you can add a
grid, a confidential watermark, or the date and time to your
background. Simply touch one of the three icons on the right to
activate/deactivate them.

Navigation Bar

The Navigation Bar is a floating toolbar that can moved around the canvas using the Directional
Arrow icon (as seen on the far left). Pictured below, the Navigation Bar includes (from left to
right) a Presentation Mode, Paste Icon, Embed Browser, Previous and Next Page Icons and a
New Page Icon.

Presentation Mode
By default myViewBoard runs in Creation Mode. This is best for when you
are creating content in the program. If however, you’ve pre-built a Canvas
and you only want to present it, you can use Presentation mode. Once
Presentation Mode is selected myViewBoard will enter fullscreen and
hide the Windows Menu Bar and the top WIndow Bar. In addition some
tools are hidden like the Paste Icon and the Embed Browser.

Paste Icon
When you copy text or image from a website or another program on Windows, you
can paste it onto your canvas. There are two ways to paste into myViewboard 1)
you can use a keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V or 2) when you’re at the board (when a
keyboard isn’t connected) you can touch the Paste Icon.

Previous, Next and New Page

When you create a canvas at some point you’ll want to
add additional pages. Use the new Page Icon to add a
page to Canvas. Use the Previous and Next arrows to
go back and forth between your pages.

Embed Browser

One of the more powerful tools in myViewBoard, the Embed Browser is a built in web browser,
allowing you to access internet sites without leaving the myViewBoard program. When using
the Embed Browser you can at any time highlight text and drag it into the Canvas or drag
an image onto the Canvas.

The embed browser always launches to your myViewBoard “Homepage.” Here you’ll notice
Google is the default search and that there are bookmarks to popular education websites like
YouTube and Khan Academy. You can edit the bookmarks by going to Tiles in the FollowMe AI
settings section of myViewBoard.com. One important difference is that the URL bar is actually a
search bar, meaning, if you type something in and press enter or touch the Magnifying Glass
icon, the browser will search for what you typed. You can type in URLs however, you’ll need to
start with http:// or https:// then the URL. NOTE: The Embed Browser does NOT remember your
information, like when you’re signed in to your Google account. This means that when you sign
out of the program and access it later, it won’t remember any websites you’ve signed in to.

Embed Browser Menu Bar Tools

● Close, Full Screen, Minimize are the three icons on the bottom left of your browser.
These allow you to close the Browser (note this closes
all your pages), make your browser full screen across
the Canvas or minimize (which keeps all your web
pages open) to hide the browser.
● Refresh, Back, Forward, Home and Keyboard are the icons on the bottom left of the
embed browser. These buttons allow you to go back to the homepage, refresh the
webpage your on, go to the previous page or forward to the page you were on. You can
also at any time pull up the
onscreen keyboard. This is
helpful when you need to type
at the board, when a physical
is not connected to the board.
● Embed Button is a icon on the Embed Browser that allows you to “stick” any webpage
to your canvas. When you press the button, the Embed Browser closes and the
webpage you were on becomes enclosed by a window that can be resized on your

canvas. When you save your canvas, this webpage is also saved. When a
web page is embedded onto the canvas, you’re still able to fully interact
with the webpage including going to other sites. NOTE: when you embed
a page, that page may not reload into the EXACT spot you left it. For
example, if you’re using Google Maps and you activate “Satellite” view
and save your Canvas, then access it later, the program won’t remember
that you turned on “Satellite” view. Also note that when you advance a page, then return
to that page the webpage automatically reloads.
● Screenshot and drawing Tools:
These tools allow you to draw on top of
the webpage inside the Embed Browser.
There is a pen tool, a highlighter tool
and an eraser. When you draw on a
page you can use the screenshot icon to capture the webpage and any annotations
you’ve made. This screenshot is placed as an image on your canvas.

Toolbar

The toolbar is going to be just as it sounds, a floating bar that holds all the tools you’ll need to
get started. It’s going to look like the image below.

From left to right here are the tools pictured above (Windows Switch, Casting, Screen Capture,
Move Toolbar, File Management, Magic Box, Infinite Canvas, Select Tool, Pen Tool, Eraser,
Shape Tool, Text Tool, Undo, Redo, New Slide)

You can move your toolbar to either the left side of your canvas, the right side of your canvas or
leave it in the default position at the bottom of your canvas.
Windows Mode

The Windows Tool hides the Canvas and displays your computer’s desktop. From here
you can access any program on your computer while still having access to the
myViewBoard Toolbar. The only tool you’ll notice missing is the Infinite Canvas Tool as
that can only be used in with a Canvas Displayed. When you first click the Windows
Tool whatever program is running on your program is displayed and the Toolbar
“shrinks” to show a smaller Toolbar as shown on the right. This is called “Mouse Mode”
as you can touch/click on your desktop to open folders, run programs, etc. When you
touch the pen however, “Mouse Mode” is turned off the the Toolbar expands to give
you all the myViewBoard Toolbar features like the Magic Box, Shapes, Text, etc. You

can “draw” or use any of these tools on top of whatever is on your Windows Desktop. You can
then use the Screenshot Tool to capture your work and have an image placed on your Canvas.

Cast Tool

With the cast tool you can send your screen to others or have others send their screen sent to
your board. This can be helpful if you have a large class and everyone needs to be able to see
what’s on the ViewBoard. Likewise it can be easier to have kids cast their screen to the board
without physically hooking their computer up to the board. The cast window is show below.

Turning Cast On/Off

When you sign in to the myViewBoard program, casting by default is turned off. You can change
this setting to have casting automatically turned on when you log in by changes your Settings
page on the FollowMe AI page at www.myViewBoard.com. You can always check the status of
casting by checking the top right of your myViewBoard window (shown below) or by looking at
the color of the icon in casting window as shown above.

The cast icon above is shown in green, which means it’s turned on. If the icon is red then it’s
turned off. To turn casting on or off, simply touch/click the cast icon. For a brief second the cast
icon will turn the color yellow when you’re enabling casting (the cast menu may also be
accessed by touching/clicking on on the cast icon in the upper right window of the myViewBoard
Program).

Sending screen to
At any time others can receive your screen to their Chrome device or a device
running Google Chrome (note that they’ll need to have the myViewBoard Google
Chrome Extension). Users must go to www.MyViewBoard.com and sign in. At
the top there’s an icon showing a “Board” to a “Computer Screen” (shown on the
right). When they click this they must type in the board name which is displayed
at the top of the cast menu OR at the top left of of the myViewBoard window.
When someone receives your screen, their name will display under the “Sending screen to”
section of the cast menu. Anything the you
do on board (including anything you say) is
captured via video and audio and sent to
the device. Note that you must touch/click
the name in the menu to give them access
before you can send your screen (their
name will display red until you touch/click
and then it will turn green). While you are
sending your screen users can record a
video of your screen or take screenshots.
It’s also important to know that users
MUST be signed into
www.myViewBoard.com to receive a
screen from the board.

Receive screen from

Receive screen works opposite of sending screen by allowing others to share their screen with
the ViewBoard (and as before you must have the Chrome extension installed). Like sending
screen, users need to go to www.myViewBoard.com however, they are NOT required to sign in.
Users will need to type in their name and the myViewBoard Name they wish to send their
screen to (located in the Cast Window or the top right of the myViewBoard Program). When the
person sends their screen, their name
will appear under the “Receive screen
from” section the Cast Menu as shown
on the right. Again their name will show
in red until you touch/click their name at
which point their name will turn green
AND their screen will display on the
board in a window. Multiple screen may
be displayed at once although network
performance may suffer. While someone
is sharing their screen their computer is
displayed live (with some delay
depending on your network speed).
There is a set of controls at the bottom of
the screen share window allowing you to
turn the computer’s microphone on or off,
a quick switch menu (which pulls up
other devices and lets you switch to
another computer on the fly), a screenshot tool (allowing you to capture what’s being displayed),
a full screen button and a button to close the window. All these tools are shown below.

Capture Tool

The Capture Tool allows you to capture still images or video of anything on your computer to
use in your lesson. When you click/touch the Capture Tool a menu appears. It’s important to
note that you can activate the Capture Tool in myViewBoard or in Windows Mode.

Screenshot
The screenshot tool allows you to capture still images. Essentially you can capture whatever is
on your screen and an image is saved onto your Canvas. You can either use those images as
part of the lesson (ie take a screenshot of a math problem on a website) or you can save that
image using the Save as... Icon in the Addorning Menu.

Capture a specific area (Rectangle)

Capture a specific area (Freehand)

Capture the entire screen

Screen Recording
In the image on the left you can
see the screen recorder menu.
Volume slider allows you to
select the recording volume.
Next to that in the middle you
can either video capture the whole screen (the one
with the camera lense) or drag a section to video
record (the one with the pointer finger). When you’re ready to record simply touch/click the
record button. Note that if you select the drag a section option, you’ll have red lines along the
edges of the screen. Drag these to resize your recording area and then touch/click the record
button again. If you select record the whole screen, you’ll need to select your video resolution
then touch/click the checkmark to get started.

During Recording you’ll notice a floating bar appears. This

allows you to pause/resume your screen recording or stop it at
any time. Once stop is pressed a Preview window will appear
so you can review your video. If you like your
video click the save disk icon and select where
you would like to save the video. Note that you can only save videos to your
Hard Drive and not directly to your cloud storage.

Move Tool

The move tool simply allows you to move your Toolbar. Unlike your Navigation Bar yout Toolbar
can only be placed on the left side of the screen, the right side of the screen, or the bottom.
Simply touch/click the directional arrow icon and drag to the desired position.

Folder Management

Folder management allows you to share, save and open myViewBoard .canvas files. This is the
default filetype the myViewBoard Program uses to save your canvas. All myViewBoard files are
saved as .vboard files.

(File Management Menu: Detailed below from image above, left to right)
● QR Code Share - Converts and uploads your Canvas into a PDF and then shares via
QR code and/or link below the QR codes. Anyone who scans the code or types the link
gets a copy of the Canvas in PDF form. Note that videos and embed browser are not
converted.
● Print - Allows you to print one or all pages in the Canvas
● Save As - Saves a new copy of your Canvas, as a .vboard file, to your Hard Drive or in
the Cloud. You’ll be asked to create a name.
● Save - Updates your previous saved copy. If you haven’t saved a copy yet, you’ll be
prompted to name your Canvas.
● Open - Allows you to open a Canvas (.vboard file) from your Hard Drive or the Cloud
● New Canvas - Creates a new, blank Canvas. Note that if you have a previous Canvas
open you’ll be prompted to save or don’t save your Canvas before a new one is created.

Magic Box

The Magic Box is not a mystical tool from Narnia, but it’s pretty close! From YouTube videos to
Pop Quizzes and Cloud Widgets, you’ll find many useful and interesting features in the Magic
Box!

From left to right (Pop Quiz Tool, Throw Tool, Camera, Cloud Widgets, Tools, YouTube, Sticky
Notes, Cloud Resource Import, Hard Drive Resource Import)

Resource Import
One feature of the Magic Box is the ability to import various kinds of
resources into myViewBoard. First it’s important to note that you can
import resources from your Hard Drive or the Cloud. All different kinds of
resources can be imported and utilized in myViewBoard however, you can use the filters below
to choose the type of file you’d like to import. To add a resource, simply double touch/click the
item or touch and drag onto the Canvas. Note that when selecting your Cloud Storage account,
Magic Box will default look in your myViewBoard Folder however, you can navigate anywhere in
your Cloud Storage.
Selecting this will force the Magic Box to look
for ALL file types that can be imported into
myViewBoard (PowerPoints, Videos, Images,
Interactive Whiteboard Files, etc)

Selecting this will force the Magic Box to look

only for PowerPoint, Word Doc or PDF files.
Each of these files import each page as an
image, and creates a new page for each
image. The only exception is PowerPoint files
at which point, you’ll be asked if you want the
file imported into the Foreground. If you select
Yes, each slide becomes an image. If you
select No, each slide becomes the
background.

Selecting any of these forces the Magic Box

to only look for Notebook, Easy Note,
Interactive Whiteboard, or myViewBoard files.
myViewBoard will attempt to import these
resources as is (ie any shapes, text, etc).

Selecting any of these forces the Magic Box

to look for Pictures, Music or Video files.

Sticky Notes
Sticky notes are digital notes that can be written or typed on then placed on
the Canvas. When a note is selected, it is enlarged so it’s easy to write or type on.
When you close the note, it shrinks for easier placement on the Canvas. You can
choose the color of the stick note as well as your pen color, pen line thickness, text
font, text size and text formatting.

YouTube
This tool allows you to search any YouTube Video and directly add it to your Canvas.
Simply type in the name of the video
you’d like, then double touch/click from
the menu or touch and drag to the
Canvas to add the video. If you’d like to preview your
video before selecting, simply click the video to play
it directly in the Magic Box menu. Note that videos
are added in a window and can be resized or made
full screen. Also if you save your Canvas the video
saves with your canvas as well.

Tools
The easiest name of all the tools to
remember, Tools house various items that can enhance any lesson or presentation.
To use an item in Tools, double touch/click or touch and drag onto the Canvas.

● Clock - Displays the time in a resizable analog clock

● Timer - Allows you to set a custom countdown timer. Click the mini clock icon to change
the countdown then click it again to set the time. Press the play icon to begin the
countdown.
● Ruler - A ruler that can be expanded or rotated. Touch/click and drag along the numbers
to draw a straight line along the edge. You can also change the units in the
myViewBoard settings.
● Square - A square that, like the ruler, can be rotated or expanded. Touch/click and drag
along the numbers on either edge to draw a straight line. You can also change the units
in the myViewBoard settings.
● Protractor - A protractor that can be rotated or resized. Touching/clicking the check
mark icon draws a line along the base of the protractor.
● Compass - A compass that can be resized and rotated. Be default, the pen is turned on
and touching/clicking and dragging the pen point draws along the path of compass.
Touching/clicking the pen icon turns this off.

● Calculator - A simple calculator that you can use during a lesson/activity (can be
resized).
● Flash Cards - Flash cards allow you to create a question and add an image to one side
of the card and then an answer and another image to the other side of the card. To flip
the card press the light bulb icon.
● Magnifying Glass - Allows you to zoom in any part of the screen. You can also increase
the size of the circle bag dragging the edges or touching the settings (gear) icon.
● Spotlight - Blacks out the whole screen except for a small circle. Touch/click and drag
anywhere on the black area to move the circle. Drag the edges of the circle to
resize/reshape the circle or use the settings icon.
● Window Shade - Allows you to cover the whole screen with an image. By default it
looks like a silver “window shade”. Touching/clicking and dragging from anywhere on the
window shade moves it around, allowing you to reveal specific sections. You can also
change the “shade” to be an image as well.

Online Widgets
Online widgets are animated images that you can add to your Canvas. The current
categories include Animals, Sports, Daily Necessities and Nature. To add these
double touch/click or touch/click and drag to your canvas. Once placed you can
move/resize by touching/clicking the bottom right of the widget. To animate a widget touch/click
one of the actions below the widget. Make sure your speakers are turned up so you can hear
the sound along with the animation!

Camera
If you have a webcam or document camera connected to the device running the
myViewBoard Program you can access the camera directly in myViewBoard.
Simply touch the icon and select the camera from the list. Once a camera is
selected a live video will instantly appear. Like other tools in myViewBoard, you can
draw over the image and take screenshots which are placed on the Canvas. Note that this icon
will not appear if you don’t have a camera device connected to your computer/board.

Throw Tool
The Throw Tool allows others to send images or videos from their device to the
board. To throw, users need to go to www.myViewBoard.com and find the link that
shows the paper airplane. They touch/click the paper airplane icon and then select
an image or video from their device and choose send. It’s important to note that
users are not required to sign in to access the Throw feature. If users don’t sign in, they will be
asked to enter a name. If they do sign in, their Board Name will be used. They will however,
have to type in the correct myViewBoard Name.

As media is “thrown” to the board, the notification bell in the top right of the screen will have a
number in it. This signifies the number of new notifications (not all are from throwing). To access
the “thrown” content you can either touch/click on the paper airplane icon in the Magic Box or
touch/click one of the notifications. Once the Throw window is open you can double touch/click
an image or drag it onto the canvas to use that image.

All “throw sessions” are saved in a folder in the Cloud. You can access them by going to your
connected Cloud storage site, accessing the myViewBoard folder, and finding the “Throw” folder.

Pop Quiz
The final Magic Box tool can only be used if your district has Entity Enrollment.
Please reach out to your technology director if you’re unsure your district has this
or not. The Pop Quiz tool is actually always running in the background so you can
initiate at any time. For kids to access the Pop Quiz they must got to
www.myViewBoard.com from any device. They do not have to sign in but must enter their name
and the myViewBoard Name. They click
on the Pop Quiz icon which looks like the
one above. Kids will have a blank canvas
where they can draw their responses.
Once they’re ready to submit a response,
they must press the “throw” or paper
airplane icon.

To see kid’s responses, simply open the

Pop Quiz tool from the Magic Box. You’ll
see the kid’s names at least once or
more depending on how many times they
have answered. You can reveal answers
one student at a time by touching/clicking their name. Click the “Upload” circle with arrow icon at
the bottom right of the quiz window uploads everyone’s responses to your Cloud storage and
creates a new Pop Quiz session. You can access student responses later by accessing your
Cloud storage, going to the myViewBoard folder and opening the Quiz Folder.

Infinite Canvas

When you run out of space on your Canvas, Infinite Canvas gives you more
without making a new page! Simply use your hand to do a “two finger” spread out
and the Canvas will zoom out, giving you more space to write or add content.
You can repeat this process over and over. At any time touch/click the Infinite
Canvas Icon to see a preview of your whole Canvas. Note that some items, like
widgets, web pages and videos won’t zoom/shrink when using Infinite Canvas.

Select Tool

The select tool allows you to click on or click and drag around the canvas to select objects, text,
images, etc. To manipulate objects or pull up the Adorning Menu you’ll
need to use the select tool. When using the select tool you can resize
objects, images and text. You’ll know a shape is selected when you
see “line guides” appear around your object. Touching/dragging these
edges allows you shrink, enlarge, stretch or rotate the object. Likewise
when you at your ViewBoard you can use two finger to resize and
rotate objects.

Marker

The Marker tool has many tools built in to it. Touching/click the marker once instantly activates
the marker for drawing, while touching/clicking it twice
opens the Marker Menu. The marker icon will change
colors based on the color you select from the menu. As
with Backgrounds, when you choose a color, the top row
changes to various shades of the color you selected. To
access more advanced color options, simply select the
“+” icon. You’ll also notice there is a slider to change the
pen width as well as the transparency. See below for
other “marker” options besides the default.

Paint Brush
Paint brush is like the marker but a lot thicker and
resembles paint brush strokes. Just like the Marker you
can change the colors, brush thickness and
transparency.

Highlighter
By default the Highlighter is transparent and that can’t be adjusted. You can only select from a
few colors but you can change the Highlighter thickness. This tool is useful when you want to
highlight text.

Laser Pen
At first glance the Laser Pen looks just like the highlighter tool and in many ways, it
visually displays the same way. What makes the Laser Pen different however, is when
you draw with the laser pen, whatever you highlighted previously, disappears in favor of
whatever new thing you’re highlighting. This tool is useful when you want to bring
attention to a specific piece of the presentation without actually drawing on it, hence, it’s

like a laser pointer.

AI Pen
One of the most powerful tools in the
myViewBoard, the AI Pen uses
machine learning to “guess” what
you’re drawing. Images are
suggested and you can double
touch/click or drag an image to your Canvas
to use. Once added to your canvas, you can
resize using the Select Tool or recolor the
image using the Adorning Menu. In addition
you can long touch (a couple seconds) or right click any images to instantly do a Google search
of that image in the Embed Browser. Remember that any image can be added to your Canvas
from the Embed Browser by dragging it to the Canvas.

Shape Pen
The Shape Pen is a fun and different way to draw on your Canvas. Instead of a
solid line, the shape pen repeats a specific image over and over again. This
can also be used as a “stamp” tool where instead of drawing a line, you
touch/click once on the Canvas to have the pen images inserted once. There
are built in shapes however, you can upload your own into your Cloud Storage
by accessing your myViewBoard folder.

Magic Line Pen

The Magic Line pen is almost like a “background” reveal tool. When using this
pen, you select a certain background pattern (or you can upload your own to
your myViewBoard Folder). As you draw on your Canvas, portions of the
background are revealed. You can use this pen as a fun way to draw lines or
use it to reveal your background.

Eraser

Eraser does just that, it erases things on your Canvas. Likewise if you’re at your ViewBoard you
can make a fist and use the bottom side of your fist to erase on the board. Double
touching/clicking the eraser opens the eraser menu. In the eraser menu you can click the
trashcan to clear the whole Canvas or the Eraser Select tool to erase everything you select on
the Canvas.

Shapes
The Shape Tool does more than just draw shapes. You can make talbles, draw and even 3D
shapes.

Activate the Shape Tool Menu

1) Tap the shape tool once
2) Tap it a second time to open the Shape Tool Menu
3) Tap it a 3rd time to close it

The top part of the menu contains all your color

choices. By clicking the plus icon you can
choose more colors from the color pallete. The
two line tools adjust line thickness and
transparency respectively. After that you can
select the shape you want to draw. At the very
bottom in the bar you can switch between 3D
shapes, line shapes and tables.

Drawing Shapes
Drawing shapes is very simple. First, select
your color, your line thickness and then click on
a shape. Once you click a shape your Shape
Tool Menu will disappear, revealing your
canvas. To draw touch and drag across your
canvas till you have the size you want!

Line Tool
The line tool can draw arrows, dashed lines right angles and curves. In addition
you’ll notice that two lines have little circles on the ends. These are connecting

lines and allow you to connect objects to one another. To activate, touch/click the line tool and
find an object on your Canvas. If the object can interact with the connecting
like, a blue dot will appear. Drag from one blue dot to another blue dot to
make the line connect. Note that if there is nothing to connect, the line will
disappear.

Table Tool
The Table Tool allows you to draw Tables. Move your mouse over the boxes to
determine how many rows/columns you want then touch/click to insert your
selection. Once a table is made, any object like text, an image, etc can be
dragged into each cell. The table will
automatically resize to fit the object you drag
in. When you want to drag an object into the table it’s
important to do the following:
1. Have the Select Tool selected
2. Touch/click the object
3. Touch/click again and drag the object into the table
When you drag the object onto the table you’ll notice the cell
will highlight red, showing you which cell the object is going
to be dropped it. It’s important to know that objects, once
dropped into the table, need to be “drug” out of the table if
you would like to edit the object. In other words, objects are
are not “editable” when they’re inside a cell.

Text Editor

The Text Editor allows you to type text on your Canvas. To use the text editor, touch/click on it
once then touch/click
anywhere on your Canvas. A
text window will open and
usually (especially if at your
ViewBoard) the on screen
keyboard will display. This is
the text editor and you can
change anything from font, to
font color, alignment and
indentation. As you type (with
either the onscreen keyboard
or an attached keyboard) you may need to resize the text editor box so all your text is displayed.
This can be done by click and dragging any of the dots/circles on the edges of the Text Editor
window.

When you are finished, close the text editor. You can also resize the text by using the Select
Tool to touch/click the text and drag the sides/corners to enlarge the text. You can also use the
Adorning Menu to change the color or highlight the text.

Handwriting Text
If you touch the Text Editor icon twice you’ll notice that the icon changes from a T
to the icon pictured on the left. When this is activated you can handwrite on the
board and convert your handwriting to typed text.

As you handwrite the icon above will appear in the Navigation Bar on the far right, as pictured
below. When you are finished handwriting you’ll need to touch/click that icon in the Navigation
Bar to convert your handwriting to text. If you don’t, and click something else (like the select tool)
your handwriting will disappear).

Undo/Redo

Undo and Redo act just like any other program, allowing you to undo any action or redo any
action. Note that you can also use the Crtl + Z (Undo) and Crtl + Y (Redo) keyboard shortcuts
as well.

Page Manager

As you add more pages on your Canvas, the number on Page Manger will change, depending
on what number page
you’re on.
Touching/click on the
Page Manager icon
will pull up a window,
showing you a
preview of your
pages. Each page
will be numbered with
the first number
showing the page
number and the
second number, the
total number of pages in your Canvas. There is also an icon on the left of the page
(red x) which allows you to delete that specific page and an icon the right (looks
like two pages on top of each other) allowing you to duplicate that page. You can
also touch/click the new page icon (shown on the right) to create a new, blank page.

Adorning Menu

Whenever you select an object with the Select Tool like an image, text or shape a menu will
