The priming oil pump is started, the hydraulic start system


engaged and the compressor blow off valves closed and the
engine is cranked for a 5 minute cooldown purge to further
reduce engine oil temperature

(approx 3 minutes).

Emergency Stop

The emergency stop pushbutton should ONLY be


used in an emergency, as the turbine misses its cool
down period which will eventually shorten turbine life.
A restart is inhibitted until the keyswitch has been
releases and reset on the HMI monitor.

TURBINE TRIP - Shutdown

Any turbine trip will result in the breaker opening


immediately; the fuel block valves closing and vent
valves opening.
The ventilation fan will continue to run for 30 minutes
unless an Emergency Stop pushbutton has been
operated or a Fire Shutdown has occured (ie the
ventilation damper has closed)
