Vingroup is one of the biggest private conglomerate in Asia with a market capitalization

value of around US $16 billion. As a multi-sector corporation, Vingroup focuses on three


main areas:

- Technology

- Industrials

- Property

- Services

Why does Vingroup have such success and the employees have such a good work
ethic? This does not only thank to a good leader, but also the CORPORATE CULTURE.

Mrs. Le Mai Lan, Vice Chairman of Vingroup, said that Vingroup culture is a system of
values, beliefs, principles that 40,000 SETS OF MANAGERS and employees of the
group believe, think and operate with. In which, 6 golden words "Trust – heart - mind -
speed - astute - human" (Tín – tâm – trí – tốc – tinh – nhân) is the "gen" set, which is
Vingroup's biggest asset. In other words, the core values of Vietnamese people are the
patriotism and national pride expressed by Vingroup in the business goal of "for a better
life for Vietnamese people".
For instance, the element “human” is but one of the most important. This culture not
only manifests in benefit programs for employees, but also in activities aimed at the
overall development of society at large.

The Kind Heart Foundation is a non-profit organization established by Vingroup to


undertake humanitarian and charity missions and “most promptly and efficiently transfer
Vingroup employees’ kindness to the community.”

Established in 2006, with the entire operating budget funded by Vingroup and its
management, the Kind Heart Fund has implemented practical projects and actionable
programs for the development of many communities, with priority given to benefiting
disadvantaged families and families with meritorious service to the revolution. These
include: taking care of women awarded the “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” honour,
supporting beneficiaries of social welfare and preferential government programs,
helping poor but studious students, supporting economic development for poor
provinces, assisting victims of natural disasters, and underwriting charitable and
humanitarian projects that construct educational, cultural and public health centres.

Along with the available factors, Vingroup especially upholds the spirit of
entrepreneurship, the sense of respect and discipline in each person. Entrepreneurial
spirit is implemented by Vingroup with the spirit of working as in the beginning to be
able to achieve further and more solid goals. The sense of respect and discipline at
Vingroup has never changed and is applied to everyone, not except for senior leaders.

light machine management, but also promote the creative spirit, thinking and working of

Vietnam, day and night, rain or shine, projects bearing the Vingroup brand continue to
rise. This non-stop effort is to ensure sustained development of the Group and bring
future generations a better life. Moreover, the Group applies its determination and
passion not only in the workplace but also in its cultural and community activities. To
promote the “Healthy Body – Happy Spirit – Nimble Mind” campaign, each Friday
afternoon the company organizes a “Healthy Living Festival” where employees
participate in active entertainment activities such as Flashmob dancing and intramural
sports such as volleyball, soccer, and tennis.
Thus, employees can both work in a serious environment and play comfortably, which
will help employees’ performance better.

Thanks to those collective activities, each Vingroup member becomes closer.
Furthermore, they have enjoyed the privilege of salaries, bonuses, fair treatment, and
good leaders.
Therefore, they always feel happy and excited about their work.

- Employee engagement
+ Communication: Vingroup has good communication practices, employees know their
opinions and ideas are welcomed. Therefore, despite they have under pressure in the
working, they always give opinions and creative thoughts themselves.

+ Safety: No matter how much they work, Vingroup also puts safety as one of the top
criteria. They always concern about the health of their employees, and the employees
also try to work on avoiding excessive conflicts.

+ Collaboration: In Vingroup, the employees are always cooperating with each other to
work in groups, both promoting cohesion and improving working efficiency.
