Intensive Reading A. Read The Text Below

Joe Hayden is 12 years old and lives in a large family with 3 older brothers, 2 younger brothers, and a younger sister. While he gets along well with his older brothers David and Michael, he finds his younger brothers Jacob and Sam annoying at times. Joe enjoys the aspects of living in a large family, such as being able to play sports with everyone, but also likes having some alone time. However, large families also mean dealing with noisy younger kids and more chores. Overall though, Joe prefers being in a big family.

PRONOUNS, POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES, AND POSSESSIVE CASE

A pronoun is defined as a word or phrase that is used as a substitution for

a noun or noun phrase, which is known as the pronoun’s antecedent. Pronouns
are short words and can do everything that nouns can do and are one of the
building blocks of a sentence.

An adjective is a describing word, such as blue, angry, cold, dry and hard.
Technically, an adjective is described as modifying or quantifying a noun or
pronoun. An adjective tells us more and gives us extra information about
something.
