Infosys Campus: Project

The proposed Butterfly Reserve in Sikkim, India will cover 117,350 sqm to celebrate the region's abundance of butterflies. With over 690 butterfly species found in Sikkim due to its varied climate and vegetation, the reserve aims to showcase this biodiversity through interpretational pavilions, a landscape park, and research centers, while involving local forest departments. The 75-acre site represents a butterfly hotspot where the winged insects have been pushed northward by monsoon winds over ages into the mountain range.
