Their abilities include infiltrating societies, overwhelming foes with their horrific form, and teleporting to instantly reach enemies. At their most powerful, your hero's size is unlimited and they can inhabit and shape their own body into structures for others.

Shoggoth

Within the dark corners of the Uncreated Night and strange, alien realms there exist beings so
opposite to the understanding of more ‘civilized’ species that their appearance alone is enough to
shatter a lesser being’s sanity. Your hero (should their motivations be something that can even be
considered heroic) is a shoggoth, prime example of these creatures which should not be. An
ever-shifting mass of protoplasm and constantly forming and dissolving organs originally created to be
slaves and build submerged cities. Now free, you can unleash the true might of this inscrutable
lifeform, washing over armies of hopeless humanoids like a tide, generating whatever is needed out of
your own body mass, unravel the minds of those unable to comprehend your existence and all the
while consuming those who stand in your way to grow into even more of an unstoppable force.

The powers of Creation seem antithetical to a shoggoth’s very nature, so when one awakens as a
Godbound part of their characteristics are weakened until they grow used to their divine power, but
once their potential is fully unlocked they become much more than any of their brethren.

Your hero is an amorphous mass of variable size and no permanent appearance. You may grow up to
the size of a small sailing ship by consuming appropriate amounts of food and shrink down to the size
of a cat by shedding biomass. Souls of sentient beings provide a much larger boost than conventional
biomass. You are able of digesting any organic material without risk of intoxication or poisoning, with
immobilized live creatures taking your Godbound level in bludgeoning and acid damage every round
they spend inside of you. You can form organs or appendages for nearly any imaginable purpose and
then reduce them back to protoplasm. These organs can also be used as natural attacks that deal
1d10 damage and count as magical weapons. The range of these attacks varies depending on your
current size, up to what the GM considers appropriate for your current size. Your uncanny resilience
grants you a Constitution score of 16 or 18 if it’s already 16, but your horribly alien nature gives you
an effective Charisma score of 3 when dealing with creatures not used to your appearance and your
communication is limited to repetitive and incomprehensibles chants.

Lesser Gifts
A Slave No More (Constant)
Free from the hypnotic suggestions that once reduced your kind to servitude, you will never allow
such a thing to happen again. You gain an invincible defense against mind effects and any kind of
restraining or binding, be it physical, mental or spiritual. You immediately become aware of attempts
to affect your mind and can pinpoint the offender’s position for a day.

Breaker of Minds (Action)

Your form defies description, making others doubt their sanity. Commit Effort for the scene and target
up to a large mob of foes, sending them into insanity. Worthy foes must make a Spirit save or take
your Godbound level in mental damage each round, tripled for Mobs. They may make another save at
the end of each turn by forcing themselves to overcome your alien display, but each such attempt
deals your level in mental damage as they focus directly on you. Foes who pass the save are immune
to this gift for the remainder of the day. Otherwise, they may choose to look directly away from you or
shut their eyes while also covering their ears, taking no damage from this gift but being considered
blinded and towards you and anything else outside of their vision and deafened.

Insidious Presence (On Turn)

You have become proficient at infiltrating into the societies of other species, be it as a member of the
community or as an inanimate object. Commit Effort. As long as it remains committed, you can
suppress your alien aspect and assume the form of any creature or object as long as you know them
well enough to create a replica, while also gaining the ability to communicate normally. Unlike other
shapeshifting gifts, taking the appearance of a creature does not give any insight on how to imitate its
mannerisms, speech patterns, etc., although it does eliminate the intrinsic penalty to Charisma.
Commit effort for the scene, and you can take over a lesser foe, assuming their form and clothes and
gaining an instinctive knowledge of how they behave.

A horrible Gift
Action
Commit effort for the scene. Transform a foe or ally into a new form appropriate to
your wishes. See the rules on transformation for limits on this. Worthy foes can save
vs spirit to resist this.

The Insatiable Tide (Constant)

You have learned how to more efficiently feed off of other creatures by flowing around them before
engulfing them into your body. You automatically succeed on checks to grapple creatures within
melee range and slowly bring them within yourself to their inevitable death. Within melee range there
is a zone of danger for you which does one damage per level, three for mobs, to all enemies around
you. Lesser foes can freely be engulfed and slain or displayed as wished, but worthy foes require
effort to be committed for the day to kill them, and can escape with a reflex save or an opposed
strength check.

Greater Gifts
Devourer of Realms (Constant)
Embracing the true magnitude and versatility of a Shoggoth, you reach one of the peak aspects of the
race. You no longer have a limit to how large you can grow and can shrink down to the size of an ant
while remaining functional, storing the mass in interdimensional space. While overwhelmingly larger
than your enemy, you gain an AC of 3 as it is difficult to pin down any vital parts of your body, can only
be damaged by magic weapons and lesser foes can’t harm you unless their attack can affect a large
area. Your awareness and control over your own body becomes so precise you can perform any
number of tasks of extremely high complexity as long as they all happen within your own body. You
can also form inhabitable space within yourself and shape structures out of organs for others to live in,
should you choose to. Extremely large forms are sure to eventually draw the attention of all important
factions or individuals in the area. You also no longer need to eat, sleep, or drink. This gift cannot be
used as a miracle.

Inescapable Horror (On Turn)

No place is safe for your enemies, for there is nowhere you can’t reach in time. Commit Effort. As long
as the Effort remains committed, your movement rate is doubled, and you can travel through any
environment. You can also pick a foe to focus on, and by committing effort for the scene, teleport next
to them.

Friend of all.
Action.
Commit effort for the scene. You can create a parasite that will take over foes, making them obedient
to your will, and allowing communication across any distance. This parasite will spread over time,
typically reaching six degrees of separation, up to a community. Commit effort for the scene, and up to
a large mob of lesser foes can be infected. Worthy foes can make an evasion save to avoid being
infected by the parasite.
