Building with interiors are increasingly common in interactive computer design graphic
or drafting applications. Social virtual world demand building models with cohesive internal
layouts. Such models are commonly created by using modelling software’s drawing designs such
as Google Sketch Up, Vision, Auto desk3D Max Edraw Max and many more. And even the
Computer Laboratory design layout are more just room with lots of computer. To ensure the
laboratory is easy to access and fulfills its purposes. Too often they simply fill a room with
computers a set up the machines any way they fit inside the room.

Computer laboratory must be designed intelligently and serve the purpose they were
intended to serve. Similarly, the design layout of the computer laboratory creates rules and
defines how the lab can be used. The design also serves as the most conducive layout of the
computer maintenance as technicians do not have to disturb others.

The simple description example of the computer laboratory set up layout plan. It has 1
door for entrance and exit, 2 storage units for the students to place their bags, 24 complete set of
desktops maybe, 1 set of desktops for the professor, a projector and projection screen for reports
and discussions. Two (2) CCTV cameras for security purposes. This computer laboratory is
mainly designed for small number of students for some reasons. First is that small number of
students receives more individual attention and gives more interaction with the professor. It also
gives the professor more choices for different instructional approaches for handling smaller
number of students. Fewer students means less distraction from each other than larger group of
students, also means that less discipline actions from professor and more time to teach. It is also
made for the students as it lets them participate more.

Having smaller number of students per class has its weakness too. For example, it
requires the schools with large number of students to build more of these types of computer
laboratory for them to accommodate all the students. It also cost more space and devices
compare to having larger room with more desktops.
 The computer floor plan lay out serves as a tool that bond between physical features such
as rooms, spaces, and entities like furniture in the form of scale drawing. In short it is an
architectural depiction of a building.

1. Objective(s):

The activity aims to design a floor plan layout using different 2-dimensional objects and
develop the skills on CAD software command manipulation and other relevant drawing
software’s. This plate exercises need to develop the design skills on computer engineering
safety devices and HVAC such as the, computer layout, security and network devices,
authentication and safety layout. One of the objectives is to described the arrangement of
various type of telecommunication safety devices and the proper efficient utilization.
2. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs):
The students shall be able to:

safety, communicating devices and proper computer safety positions. Design a floor plan
