ASSIGNMENT
Answer the following question briefly:
1. Explain what a sample size in statistics is. -Sample size refers to the number of participants or observations included in a study. This number is usually represented by n. The size of a sample influences two statistical properties: 1) the precision of our estimates and 2) the power of the study to draw conclusions. 2. Why is it very important to determine the sample size? -Sample size is one of the strong pieces of evidence that the research is a reliable document that you can get information. 3. Identify the criteria needed to be specified in determining the appropriate sample size. -Three criteria usually will need to be specified to determine the appropriate sample size: the level of precision, the level of confidence or risk, and the degree of variability in the attributes being measured 4. What is a Slovin’s formula? -Slovin's formula. - is used to calculate the sample size (n) given the population size (N) and a margin of error (e). - it's a random sampling technique formula to estimate sampling size. -It is computed as n = N / (1+Ne2).
