ACTIVITY DESIGN

I. General Information:

Title :GULAYAN, MAGANDANG KAPALIGIRAN, BARKADAHAN


BAYANIHAN KAHIT SAAN (KATIKARAN)

Time Covered : December, 2021 – December, 2022

Venue : Internet-Based Program (Talk Show/Documentary Format)

II. Rationale:

In pursuance to Ambisyon Natin 2040 and intensification of Youth for


Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) to Establish specific and
doable programs, projects and activities to address issues and concerns on
the environment and ecology. In addition, the program also aims to protect
the environment and create activities to sustain environment protection. The
Department of Education – Division of Davao del Sur in partnership of
Department of Environment and Natural Resources aims to mitigate the
effects of climate change.

In this note, YES-O advocacies with activities are provided to empower


students, teachers, parents, stakeholders and community to join in this
endeavor to achieve the goal. These activities will give opportunities to
DepEd to intensify YES-O in its implementation in collaboration of different
agencies. It will also open the chance of schools to promote and take pride of
their best practices in the implementation of the DepEd programs through
one segment.

III. Objectives:
This program aims to:
▪ Educate learners, teachers, stakeholders and online viewers in the importance
of YES-O;
▪ Intensify the Sustainable Development Goals and Ambisyon Natin 2040 to have
healthy well-being and protect environment;
▪ Strengthen the implementation of the YES-O;
▪ Promote schools’ best practices in the implementation YES-O; and
▪ Produce information needed concerning to Youth Formation Program and/or
relative programs of the SDO.
IV. Methodology:

The program will have an airing time of 40 minutes and it is divided in to


3 to 4 segments: (It can be live or recorded)

a. News Update (5minutes): In this segment division or schools will be


assigned to give updates on the implementation of GPP, BKD and
NGP/YES-O/SIGA including the progress.
b. Usapan Time (20 minutes): In this segment an invited guest will talk
on a certain topic related to DepEd Programs (NGP/YES-O/SIGA, BKD
and GPP). The format is like having a free time talk (a combination of
educational, informative and with humor talk).
c. Kami Na! (5 minutes): The segment will showcase the best practices of
schools, division and region on GPP, BKD and NGP/YES-O/SIGA.
d. Ehh, Alam Mo ba? (5 minutes): This is an interactive giving of insights
on things related to GPP, BKD and NGP/YES-O/SIGA.

The program shall air through Youth Formation – Division of Davao del
Sur (for local), DepEd Tayo – Youth Formation (CO account, if possible) and in a
local television network (partnership) at least twice a month.

The combination of 3 DepEd programs in one show as the 3 are related


to each other in terms of outputs.

IV. Target Clients:

The online show (KATIKARAN (activities), temporary title) will have


expected clients:

VII. Socio-Economic Justification

The program will give opportunity to students, teachers, and the entire
community in their active participation in achieving the DepEd programs
anchored in the Sustainable Development goals and the Ambisyon Natin
2040. This will also contribute to the well—being of students, teachers,
external partners most environment. It will also link to harmonious
partnership to different agencies for the success of all programs.

VI. Sustainability

DepEd, through the Youth Formation Program, continually supports


ground for good governance, volunteerism, unity and cooperation by
providing our youth various venues where they can improve their leadership
knowledge, skills and attitudes. It will also help to achieve the Sustainable
Development Goals and the Ambisyon Natin 2040.
