Instructions for dumping and decrypting your copy of Pokémon Sun or Moon to build a

CIA or 3DS file of Nova Sun or Umbra Moon

===DUMPING A CARTRIDGE AS A .3DS FILE===

1. Hold START while booting your 3DS to enter Godmode9.


2. Navigate to [C:] GAMECART.
3. Press A on the largest file with a 3DS extension (not the ".trim.3ds" file).
4. Select "NCSD Image Options..."
5. Select "Decrypt file (0:/gm9/out)". The dumping process will take approximately
30 minutes.
6. When the dump finishes, your game will be a decrypted 3DS file located in
SD:/gm9/out. Copy that file to the Extra_Files folder on your PC and rename it to
rom.3ds.
7. Proceed to the instructions in "CIA or 3DS Build Instructions.txt".

===DUMPING AN ESHOP COPY OR INSTALLED CIA AS A .CIA FILE===

1. Hold START while booting your 3DS to enter Godmode9.


2. For SUN, navigate to [A:] SYSNAND SD > title > 00040000 > 00164800 > content.
For MOON, navigate to [A:] SYSNAND SD > title > 00040000 > 00175E00 > content.
3. Press A on the file "00000000.tmd".
4. Choose "Build CIA (standard)". The dumping process will take approximately 30
minutes.
5. When the dump finishes, your game will be a decrypted CIA file located in
SD:/gm9/out. Copy that file to the Extra_Files folder on your PC and rename it to
rom.cia.
6. Proceed to the instructions in "CIA or 3DS Build Instructions.txt"
