Consumption and Receipt in Warehouse (1VB)


Scenario Overview
This process is used to integrate warehouse execution with Production operations using the Advanced
Production Integration functionality. The warehouse execution for Production Orders is based on the
Production Material Request (PMR) document. The PMR contains the information of component
materials and quantities, which are needed for production.
This scenario enable synchronization of the material flows between warehouse and production, and can
improve inventory visibility and control as material movements are posted in real time in the warehouse.
Components are staged from the warehouse to the production supply area for manufacturing operations,
and then are consumed from the production supply area. Finished goods are Goods Receipt and putaway
is completed as they arrive on a conveyor line from production into the warehouse.
