Project structure
Every society in the history of mankind has encountered difficult ethical issues
which are needed to be addressed by its people. Here in Oman, we are faced
with increasing number of social ethical questions every day, especially with
matters relating to computing and information technology.
The project is structured very carefully in order to achieve the above objectives.
The project will pass through several phases and will be assessed accordingly.
The project is allocated 30% of the total mark for the course.
Each group should consist of 2-3 students. Once project is allocated for each
group, the group might get some comments from the instructor on the work,
from which the project could be enhanced.
Project Guidline
1- Each group is required to search for and allocate an ethical issue of
interest.
2- Each group is required to study the ethical issue in hand. This includes
addressing its importance, its effects on society, its related work, its
corresponding ethics methods and theories, its challenges and its real life
applications. The project should accordingly be planned to allow each

issue. This could be done by providing a general overview of the ethics
issue and all related work done on the ethical issue.
