 AIRLINE BUSINESS: COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY

1. HOW DID USING THIS TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY IMPACT THE COMPANY?

- The computer is important to any company like Airlines Industry because it helps them make the
operation more efficient and flexible. The computer does many things in the Airlines Industry such as
booking tickets, setting fares, overseeing maintenance, planning flights, and so forth. In addition, using
computers they can collect your name, track your luggage if it’s already with you, and all the other
information you have. And it has a big impact on the company because without a computer their
passengers ’application process will take longer. Further, they will find it difficult to communicate with
the passenger as well as it will affect the economy due to the slowness of the process. Moreover, we can
connect the computer with the Virtual Assistants because as you can see the employee is using a
computer to do their job and communicate with the passengers especially nowadays, people must
prefer to do an online transaction.
2. ARE THERE ANY ISSUES WHEN USING THIS TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY?

- Power outage is one of the issues for a computer system, that implies that there is an interruption of
services which causes all processes to stop, resulting in a delayed flight and many other computer
systems operations. Even with technology, it is inevitable to have an issue such as with computers that
serve a lot of functions in the airline. If there is a malfunction with an airline's computer system, it
causes a cascade effect that could suddenly turn into a serious issue as tourists get delayed in terminals.
Passengers may begin to complain as approach the reservation department to arrange alternative
flights.

3. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THE USE OF THIS TECHNOLOGY TO OTHER SECTORS?

- I would absolutely recommend the use of this technology to other business sectors. It would be more
commonly found in management and accounting aspects of business sectors, but this type of technology
is very flexible in how it is used and the diversity of the programs and applications it can run. So, I would
highly recommend this technology to the food industry. Although it cannot help in the primary
production of food it can greatly improve efficiency of the businesses system and opportunities that
business can help grow from. An Example of this is the improvement in efficiency is the use of excel.
Recording and analyzing data is made extremely easy using the computer program in helping record
transactions and cashflows alongside maybe tracking employee and establishment performance.

Opportunities that the business can partake in is the creation of a YouTube channel, social media pages,
website, affiliated marketing, and even partnering with a digital company like “Grab” and all that can be
managed within a computer.

Computers are a potential competitive advantage for corporate organizations. In this world of digital
devices, it's convenient to have a computer that stores all the data you need. Business infrastructure
keeps you up to date with rapidly changing customer needs. If you work in an office today, you may
have been introduced to the importance and functions of computers. Adding digital machines and
devices to your business makes your business more efficient. Whatever your operation, using a
computer is an integral part of management.

4. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE COMPANY’S POSSIBLE FUTURE IN USING THIS TECHNOLOGY?

- Airports and their passengers will benefit from computer technology. Computers increase efficiency,
which lowers costs and as a result, improves the passenger experience. There is a direct relationship
between security experience and proclivity to spend money. Airports are, first and foremost,
commercial enterprises with a vested interest in keeping their passengers satisfied. Computer
technology has the potential to provide real and tangible benefits to passengers. With improvements to
flight management processing, they should see fewer delays and higher rates of reconciliation.
Transitioning through the airport is likely to become a much better experience for the passenger with
end-to-end biometrics, where you effectively just walk into the airport and it’s a seamless and touch-
free process all the way onto the aircraft.
5. WHAT ARE YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS/IMPROVEMENTS IN USING THIS TECHNOLOGY?

- Computers are now part of our daily lives, and during this awful time wherein the students are not
allowed to go to school, it has also become one of our daily needs aside from the cellular phones.
Computers can do everything through the sites and online platforms, there's a lot of business out there
that uses this kind of technology, they use it to make the deals between the clients and employees much
easier to be done, they use it to post their business info such as: where they are located, how often their
stores are available to accept walk-in customers and many more. Airlines have this site that posts about
the prices of the tickets and the schedule of departure and arrival. But one thing we'd like to suggest is a
computer that instantly detects your health issues and lets the cabin crew members treat you just how
you need to be treated, this will inform them about your medication so they will be ready in case
someone forgot to bring their pills. This might be a little too hard to do but doing this will make all the
PWD's feel happy because they are taken care of.

Technology is revolutionizing air travel across the world. It is making flights more efficient and eco-
friendlier. It is helping to improve security and make flight planning and operations more effective. And,
of course, it is constantly changing passengers’ lives for the better from faster check-ins and a better
airport experience through to innovations that make flying more comfortable and rewarding.
