1. Actuary

If you're good with numbers, this is your job. Actuaries conduct statistical

research, analyze risk and estimate probabilities and economic costs of

various outcomes for businesses such as insurance companies. You'll need a

college degree and certification for this career

2. Human Resource Specialist

As long as companies have employees, they will also have human resource

specialists. They recruit, screen and interview potential employees, conduct

new employee orientation, manage payroll, benefits and training and maintain

records for employees. The BLS projects job growth for human resource

specialists at 21 percent through 2020.

3. Market Research Analyst

Market research analysts work in many industries. They evaluate market

conditions, conducting research and surveys, analyzing data and estimating

sales probabilities.

4. Epidemiologist

Epidemiologists investigate causes for diseases and manage public health

programs. You'll eed a master's degree – a Ph.D. is better –. Over half of all

epidemiologists work for federal, state or local governments.

5. Occupational Therapist

Working in private practice or with hospitals and nursing homes,

occupational therapists treat patients with injuries or disabilities, helping them

return to normal living. You need a master's degree to enter this field.

6. Software Developer

Software developers fall into two fields -- applications developers and

systems software developers. Software developers analyze client needs and

then design, develop and test new software.

7. Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

The laboratory technician who administers imaging equipment and performs

examinations for patients using ultrasound, ultrasound, and EKG. To enter

this field, you only need an associate degree.

8. Interpreters and Translators

As more companies engage in international trade, the demand for Interpreters

who speak multiple languages and translators who write multiple languages

will soar by 42 percent through 2021.

Pharmacist

With an aging population, the demand for prescription medicine will increase

and so will the demand for pharmacists. The BLS projects 25-percent growth

through 2021. Pharmacists need a a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and licensing

in their respective states to practice in this field.

10. Computer Systems Analyst

The growth in demand for computer systems analysts should run at a strong

23 percent through 2020, according to the BLS. Computer systems analysts

earned an average $77,740 salary in 2010. These analysts determine the IT

needs for their employers, research new technologies, configure systems and

oversee equipment installation.
