Efficient electret mic and audio amp. provide very sensitive sound pick-up with low noise, giving increased
alertness in security systems. The audio signal is transmitted via a shielded wire. Elbex full range of switchers
(EXS100, EXS2000, EXSQ9300 & EXX9200 series) and a range of monitors incorporate audio.
The FM modulated audio is transmitted via the video coax cable, simplifying the wiring and the cost of
installation. The audio modulator includes AGC, pre-emphasis and muting circuits.
Requires audio demodulator, refer to the accessories below.
EXT SYNC
EXT. SYNC –
Patented ext. sync system, transmitting 25Hz (PAL) or 29.97 Hz (NTSC) vertical sync pulses via the video coax
cable in reverse direction to the video propagation. The camera will lock automatically to the ext. sync pulses
for a perfect 2:1 interface when the ext. sync detector in the camera detects the ext. sync pulses. In the
absence of ext. sync the camera will operate on its internal 2:1 interlace sync.
Elbex offers full range of ext. sync generators as well as switching equipment incorporating
ext. sync generators, such as EXS100, EXS300, EXS2000, EXX9200 & EXZ9400 series. Elbex offers also a
range of boosters and distributors with ext. sync transfer circuits permitting the use of such video line ampli-
fiers in externally synchronized system.
* Refer to the selection charts for selection of the corresponding models.

Patented system consist of invisible 16 bit binary code injected into single horizontal line (H12)
within the vertical blanking period.
The identification code is then extracted and decoded at a monitoring site using and superposing
an I.D. number or a text onto the video display. The patented is also used for controlling the
camera and recording large number of cameras on a single VTR and retrieving the lindividual recorded
signals.

Elbex cameras with incorporate DIP switch for setting an I.D. number from 001 to 999 which
cannot be switched off, therefore, the becomes effectively an invisible video signal identification
code that does not obstruct the display, yet, it is always there and can be retrieved and surperposed as
desired. Moreover, the invisible unobstructing can be recorded on a VTR and when it is played
back the code can be extracted for superposing onto the video display an I.D. or a text.
I.D. code
Setting Switch
The permits large scale recording on a single VTR by using synchronized frame
switchers to scan large volume of cameras at a field or frame rate and retrieving (playing back) any specific
signal by recalling the camera’s I.D.. Elbex offers such large scale frame switchers (EXZ9400 series), refer to
the accessories below.
