Setanta College E-Learning Assessment

Assignment Overview
In this exercise, you are required to carry out a combined Instructional and Quality
Assurance (QA) review of a slide deck comprising nine slides.

By way of context, this slide deck is taken from a larger Strength and Conditioning course.

The course is delivered to participants online through our online learning platform, Moodle.

Section 2 asks you to key out a greenscreen presentation of the same slide deck and create
a sample of a course to showcase your creativity.

Please aim to spend no more than 2 hours completing the exercise.

Assignment Details

Section 1
For this section you need to complete the following four tasks: -

1. Write a learning objective that accurately describes the knowledge or skill(s) that the
learner will acquire by completing this slide deck or “topic”. Write the objective using
US-English spelling.

2. Complete the bulleted text in the Summary slide (slide 9) by writing no more than five
bullet points that summarize the instructional content covered by the deck. A bullet
point may consist of a single sentence but no more than two sentences. The first
summary point is provided for you so you can adopt the same style and approach in
your written text.

3. Write a very brief outline describing your suggestions for two questions designed to
test the learner’s understanding of the instruction presented in the slide deck. The
content to consider testing may include the material presented in the slides (images,
visuals and slide text) and/or the text in the “Lecturer Notes” accompanying each
slide. For each question:
a. Briefly state or describe the question format you propose using and why you
recommend it. Any question format is acceptable, including multiple-choice
(MCQ), matching, or any other you propose.
b. Write a ‘stem’ that clearly states the question that the learner must answer.
c. Write the correct answer option(s) for the question and provide a minimum of
two incorrect options.

4. Review each of the nine slides for QA issues, including misspellings, grammar and/or
punctuation issues, style inconsistencies, or poor or weak execution in general. For
the QA task, please be sure to check the slide headings, the slide visuals/images and
their positioning, the slide text, and the text in the “Lecturer Notes”.
