I- Project Description:

Title: Conduct of Mid-Year District In-Service Training (INSET- CLUSTER 3)

II – Background and Rationale of the Project:

Per DepEd Order No. 29, s. 029 re: School Calendar and Activities for School
Year 2021-2022 and in line with Division Memorandum No.5, s. 2022, the schedule
for the Mid-year In-Service Training (INSET) which shall be on January 31, 2022, and
February 2-5, 2022.

The Mid-Year In-Service Training will be participated by Four (4) Schools


as Cluster 3 ( Poctol ES, Naspi ES, Pudo ES, and Bayawas ES) shall conduct its training
program by which teachers are taught with skills and given the necessary knowledge
or attitude to enable them to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard
in the present job and to undertake greater and more demanding roles for effective
job performance. In-Service training helps the teachers to equip with new knowledge
and skills for them to face new challenges and reformation in education. It can
enhance the professionalism of teachers who can contribute to the organization to
achieve its goals. It is a personal educational activity for teachers to improve their
efficiency, ability, knowledge, and motivation in their professional work.

The first three (3) days shall be spent on different topics; Day 1: A Happy
Teacher; The Joy of A Teacher; Self a Foundation of Leadership; and The Art of Giving)
Day 2: (Video Editing; Script Writing; StoryBoard; and Video Production) Day 3: Digital
Early Language Literacy and Numeracy Program ( EELNP) while Day 4, the fourth day
of the activity shall be conducting the Wellness Program with the “Galaw Pilipinas” and
in the afternoon will be planning conference per school and closing program.

Day 1 topics comprise four (4) to be discussed and will be giving emphasis on
the qualities of a good teacher including skills in communication, listening,
collaboration, adaptability, empathy, and patience. Other characteristics of
effective teaching include an engaging classroom presence, value in real-world
learning, exchange of best practices, and a lifelong love of learning. Day 2, focuses
on the different ways of creating video lessons that can be used as supplementary

materials on asynchronous learning. Day 3, the activity will be on ELLNP (Early
Language Literacy and Numeracy Program), the activity will help the teachers not only
those handling Primary Grades but everybody needs to participate to have the
knowledge, skills attitudes, and understanding on the importance of ELLNP program.
This topic will also help the participants to design interventions for their slow learners.
The remaining day, Day 4: Wellness Program with the "Galaw Pilipinas" aimed to
promote an active lifestyle among Filipinos that would be beneficial not only to the
learners' but teachers as well as the physical and emotional well-being. Thus, galaw
symbolized the different movements from the country's treasured folk, cultural and
tribal dances as well as a few stances from the national sports.

III – Objectives:

a. Enhance skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability,


empathy, and patience and help one another on the exchange of best
practices, and a lifelong love of learning.
b. Improve the technical know-how of the teachers in the use of ICT ( video
lesson) that can be used as supplementary materials on asynchronous
learning.
c. Intensify literacy and numeracy practice in and out of the classroom to
close gaps and promote a learning culture.
d. to promote a healthy lifestyle and featured steps and movements from
cultural dances in the Philippines.

IV – Methodologies/Materials and Equipment Needed:

The mode of delivery of this training is through limited face-to-face discussion.


This will be supported by these materials.

VIX- EXPECTED OUTPUT:

a. After the training, the participants are expected to apply the KSA and
understanding they gained to strengthen their teaching skills. They
expected to create innovations in teaching through the use of video editing
as part of additional materials for the learners. They are also expected to
provide various opportunities for their learners to acquire balanced literacy
and numeracy skills through intervention plans, remediation enhancement
activities. They are also aware and developed a healthy lifestyle and feature
steps and movements from cultural dances in the Philippines.

X- MONITORING AND EVALUATION:

The conduct of the District In-Service Training ( Clustered Schools) will be


monitored and evaluated by the PSDSs/Div. SM, M&E Team, and other SDO personnel

To sustain the effectiveness of the training:

 Participants must be self-aware and prioritize personal development, focus on


developing others, encourage strategic thinking, innovation, and action. ...
 Participants were encouraged to further disseminate the response to the need for
strengthening advocacy for literacy and numeracy.
