Q.1)Suspend a light pan from the lower end of the spring suspended vertically from a rigid support. Set
the system consisting of suitable mass in the pan and determine the time taken to complete a
suitable number of oscillations. Vary the mass in the pan and find time of oscillations for five
different values of mass M .Find periodic time for each mass assuming whole mass ( m s +M) of
the system concentrated at a single point .(Mass of the spring is m s )

Q.1)You are given five tunning forks of known frequencies. Keeeping tension constant determine length
of the wire vibrating in unison with each tunning fork.hence verify the law of length. 8M

Q.2 A] Find the effect of load of depression of a suitable clamped meter scale loaded at its end. 4M
B] Identify given electronic component.

Q.1) A tunning fork of known frequency is given to you. Using sonometer the length (L) of the wire
vibrating in unison with given tunning fork for four different known tension (T) and
unknown tension.

Plot a graph of L2 against T. Hence determine unknown tension. Also draw the conclusion from the
graph.

vibrating in unison with each tunning fork. Plote graph 1/L against frequency (n).

Hence determine the velocity of sound in air at room temperature. 8M
