presentation and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. Products of
learning will be uniquely designed. Teacher simply facilitates the learning in a lesson like this.
X Project-based and/or Publishable: Students are completing projects to demonstrate their learning
and the projects can be shared outside of the classroom. This objective could be reached by
displaying the project on the school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom
blog, presenting it to another class, or publishing via an outside source.
Lesson idea implementation: The teacher will first show them the example of the eBook and
allow the student to read along with the book. This lesson will last one week which will give

the teacher time to walk through the lesson and give the student time to create their own
eBook. Students will be assessed on how well they are able to be creative and share their
story as an eBook. This will allow differentiation by giving students the option to be creative
and choose the prompt of their eBook. Higher level learning levels will be challenged by
allowing the students to create non-fiction based stories about science or history. The lesson
will be concluded by having the students share their eBook with the class and allowing the
class to give feedback to one another after they present. I will give feedback to each student
separately after all eBooks are watched.
Managing engagement:
These tools will cause students to become active social learners because they will be creating
their own product while interacting with classmates by sharing their ideas and opinions. I will
give the students the appropriate amount of time to create and come up with their ideas for
their eBook and then allow them to share their ideas with a classmate to help them turn their
ideas into a script.
