Lab Activity No. 2

The government raised funds to detect and treat Hepatitis A in the barangay of Tanyong. Laboratory testing of samples over 6 months found rising levels of the virus, from a low of 9 positive samples in March to a high of 25 in August. Analysis of the data found a mean of 17 positive samples per month, a median and mode of 18, and a range of 16, indicating increasing infection over the period monitored.

• Interpret the data

The figure shows the amount of data gathered from the tested samples over a 6-
month period. In February, 12 data points were collected, 9 in March, 14 in April, 18 in
May, 18 in June, 23 in July, and 25 in August. The results show that May and June have
equal amounts of data points, and August has the most data point, while March has the
least amount of data point.
