gINT Lab Testing support is divided into tabs and each tab (except for Lab Specimen) corresponds
to a particular test type. To start using the gINT lab testing support, do the following:
You can move between the tabs of the Lab Testing by clicking the mouse or by pressing Ctrl+Tab
and once you do that you will notice that the screen of most tests (except Water Content, Density,
Uniaxial–Method C, Point Load and Chemical Tests) is split into two parts, the top part contains
the parent table data and the bottom part contains the child table data.

When you select a point (borehole/test pit) from the object selector, the parent table will show the
data of all the tested samples (depths) for the selected point and once you click on the depth at the
parent table, the child table will show the data of the selected depth (sample).

The purpose of the Lab Specimen tab is to identify the tested samples/depths, which is also
consider as the parent record for all the lab testing tables. In other words, the depth of each test
sample must be defined here before any data can be input elsewhere. The description of all the
fields of the Lab Specimen tab is shown in Table 1.
To identify the tested samples/depths at the Lab Specimen tab, do the following:
x Select INPUT Æ Click on the Lab Testing Æ Choose the Lab Specimen tab.
x Select the point (Borehole/Test Pit) number (Point ID) from the object selector.
x Click in the empty cell in the Depth column to highlight it Æ enter the depth value of the tested
samples.
x Enter your input data in the fields of Lab Specimen as shown in the below screenshot. For
more information about each field, please see the description presented in Table 1.
Warning: Deleting or renaming a record in this table deletes or renames all the data
associated with the record.
