1.0 LAB TESTING SUPPORT

gINT Lab Testing support is divided into tabs and each tab (except for Lab Specimen) corresponds
to a particular test type. To start using the gINT lab testing support, do the following:

x Go to INPUT Æ click on the tab of Lab Testing.

x To move back to the project tables "Logging screen", click on the tab of Main Group.
Note: At least one specimen must be defined in the Lab Specimen table before the program
will allow you to move to the other lab testing tables.

You can move between the tabs of the Lab Testing by clicking the mouse or by pressing Ctrl+Tab
and once you do that you will notice that the screen of most tests (except Water Content, Density,
Uniaxial–Method C, Point Load and Chemical Tests) is split into two parts, the top part contains
the parent table data and the bottom part contains the child table data.

When you select a point (borehole/test pit) from the object selector, the parent table will show the
data of all the tested samples (depths) for the selected point and once you click on the depth at the
parent table, the child table will show the data of the selected depth (sample).

2.1 Lab Specimen Tab

The purpose of the Lab Specimen tab is to identify the tested samples/depths, which is also
consider as the parent record for all the lab testing tables. In other words, the depth of each test
sample must be defined here before any data can be input elsewhere. The description of all the
fields of the Lab Specimen tab is shown in Table 1.
