PART III: There are type of travelers. Kindly research on each type of traveler.

Define them and

give example for each. Make a detail explanation.

1. Explorer: They travel in small groups in search of new places to visit and interactions with the
locals. They quickly adapt to the local customs in terms of housing, diet, and lifestyle.

Example: A self-guided self-drive journey to National Park. These tourists create their own
itineraries and stay at locally suggested bed & breakfasts, such as tourist lodges or new
establishments.

2. Elite: These tourists mainly go for the sake of enjoyment and entertainment. They are tourists
who are driven by their own interests. They are native culture consultants, and they are
interested in learning about the local people's way of life.

Example: Overnight in Kuna Indian homes, eat native food, sleep in hammocks. These
tourists seek for traditional culture and visit exotic places.

3. Off-beat: They want to get away from the crowds and make their holiday more exciting by
doing something out of the ordinary. Tourists that visit Toraja regency to attend funerals, trek in
Nepal to go alone to Point Hope as part of an Alaskan trip are examples of this type of visitor.

Example: Trekking and hiking in Himalayan reason. These tourists desire to make their trip
more exciting by doing something beyond the norm.

4. Unusual: They don't desire to go to the well-known places. Their goals for the tour are to take
more risks. They tend to be more daring. They come with unusual goals in mind, such as
physical danger or isolation. These groups are generally interested in primitive culture but would
prefer a safe box lunch and bottled Sodas than a local feast.

seclusion. Their goals for the tour are to take more risks and tend to be more daring.

5. Incipient mass: These are persons who travel in a small organized group and use ride-sharing

6. Mass tourist: They are individuals that are part of a larger group that may include a package
tour to another country. They are classified as middle-class visitors from a financial standpoint.
Visitors inundate Hawaii for the most of the year, as well as other regions at least seasonally,
such as European resorts and northern hemisphere winter vacation destinations such as coastal
Mexico and the Caribbean.

Example: Visiting famous beaches and resorts in other countries. These are tourists from the
middle class. They prefer to go in groups when they visit.

7. Chattered mass: This sort of tourist involves a large group of people traveling to a new site with
as many conventional western facilities as feasible. These visitors arrive in large groups, such as
in Waikiki, and for every 747 planeload, a fleet of at least ten large buses is waiting to transport
them from the airport to the assigned hotel, which has a separate tour desk in the lobby to
provide itineraries and other group services.
