Note:
1. Formula for rocking stiffness of bi‐layer strata is valid for condition r < H < 2r only. However, value is calculated for 
your reference only. Please suggest which formula should be used when above condition does not fullfill.i.e H < r (our 
case).
2. In Absence of field test, Modulus of Elasticity is considered as weighted average for Dense Gravel (Re‐engineering
material) & Medium clay (Strata below Re‐engineering material) from Foundation Analysis and Design ,Joseph E.
Bowels (Table‐2.8) which should be verified on site.
