What Are Your Observations or Generalizations On How Text/ and or Images Are Presented?
Base on our observations, all of the people in the picture are from
different cultural backgrounds. The first person there is struggling on
what to say to the man who is offering his card to him. While the man
who is handing out his card or business card is contemplating on what
to do since the man on the left is not saying anything thus creating a
misunderstanding between the two. Next is the woman, since maybe in
their culture what the guy in front of her is doing is rather rude or
offensive to some extent, but if we look at the point of view of the man,
he seems rather uncomfortable since the woman is evading his
personal space, through this misconception the body language can
affect the outcome of the situation between the two. Finally, the last
person is having troubles on what to do since he is new to the place
and he doesn't know what he should do or what he should say since he
is not familiar with the culture of the place so he seems rather awkward
in there. What’s happening is a chaos since they don’t seem to
understand each other and some are acting rude and disrespectful. The
generalizations on these image are people at the international arrivals
are talking and they are from different cultures. In conclusion, it’s hard
to get along with people you just knew because of their different
cultures. Intercultural communication is an interaction whereby people
from various cultural backgrounds foundations attempts to share
implications. With the complexity of various culture and dialects, the
chance for egocentrism most certainly introduces itself, particularly if
utilizing email as the type of communication. An initial introduction can
also fall victim to miscommunication as exhibited by the following
cartoons displaying non-verbal communication.
