World War 2 resulted in death

around 55 million people worldwide.

This war is the biggest and most destructive conflict in history.

The First World War ended in a ceasefire

and made the Treaty of Versailes,

The Treaty of Versailles was a blow to the German people

and triggered the collapse of the Weimar Republic in 1933.

Over the decades that followed,

Hitler's career took off to become chancellor.

And when President Paul Von Hindenburg died,

he made himself the Fuhrer

or the Nazi paramilitary supreme commander.

When in power,

Hitler denounced the Treaty of Versailles, calling it unfair.

At the end of the First World War,

The two sides agreed to end the first world war

with a ceasefire.

The contents of the agreement are

Germany had to pay 20 billion Goldmark worth of war reparations

At that time the price was equivalent to 7,000 tonnes of gold.

"The defeat of Germany left Hitler discouraged and needed a new focus,"

Hitler and other German leaders believed,

That Germany lost in World War I

because they have to fight on two fronts.

To prevent this,

Hitler and Joseph Stalin (Soviet) signed

a 10-year non-aggression agreement on 23 August.

On September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland.

That's when World War 2 started.

Strategy begins destroying enemy air control,

railroad tracks, communication lines, and ammunition dropping.

About 1.5 million German troops were deployed

to invade Poland.

In just 2 days Poland was completely destroyed

and killed about 6 million Polish citizens and military.

Two days after the German attack on Poland,

Britain and France declared war on Hitler.

Then the British took the German ultimatum

in order to withdraw its troops from Poland.

Germany greeted the ultimatum with a sink

British ships in European waters.

After invading Poland,

Germany launches attacks on Denmark and Norway

And managed to occupy the two countries.

Then attacked the dutch,

As a comparison,

Dutch who colonized this country 350 years

which is like a monster to this country.

Nazi Germany only takes 5 days,

to force the Dutch kingdom to its knees,

surrendered to Hitler's ferocity.

Germany succeeded in controlling the Netherlands in May 1940

Germany exhibits a modern combat strategy

What Blitzkrieg knew,

This strategy does not recognize static defense

or a fortress like in the first world war.

However, the best defense in this strategy

is a combined force in constant motion

when carrying out an attack.

The attack required a war machine that kept moving,

The fighter that rules the air,

As well as large infantry troops that continue to maneuver.

This kind of attack would take the enemy by surprise,

difficulty in coordinating so easy to corner

This is what makes German troops

when it successfully crushed Poland.

In just 2 days Poland was completely destroyed

and killed about 6 million Polish citizens and military.

Two days after the German attack on Poland,

Britain and France declared war on Hitler.

Germany succeeded in controlling the Netherlands in May 1940,

so that Queen Wilhelmina fled to England.

And on to Belgium,

British, French and Belgian joint forces

unable to keep the German Blitzkrieg from reaching Dunkirk.

But a miraculous event ensued,

When the joint Allied forces were pressed,

Hitler ordered the troops under command

Henz Guderian did not advance to Dunkirk.

And finally the Allied troops were successfully evacuated to British soil.

Historians call this Hitler's first blunder

which made the Allies prepare to counterattack.

Belgium also fell on May 11, 1940.

Italy declares war on the Allies,

and continued invading France on June 10, 1940.

Germany attacked France and succeeded in occupying France

in June 1940,

Thus causing the French army

under the leadership of Charles de Gaulle fled to England.

Germany continues its attacks on the Western front

by invading England.

However, this attempt failed because of the British

have a better army

compared to mainland European countries.

And at that time England was still serving as King of the Ocean,

with the very large British Royal Navy Fleet.

Germany also did not make England the main target,

and actually wanted to make peace with England after the Dunkirk incident.

However, Hitler's peace speech was rejected by the British people

and British prime minister Wiston Churcill were not interested either.

It was published by the BBC UK news broadcast.

On August 25, 1940,

The British Royal Air Force attacks

The German capital Berlin, with thousands of bombers.

And for the first time,

make the German population feel this war.

So Lutwaffe counterattacked,

On September 7, 1940,

German planes fly to the skies of London

and dropped tons of bombs from the air.

The night attack it raises

panic in London.

Until it caused casualties

and great damage in London.

The capital of the kingdom was burning violently,

London became a lake of fire.

During those midnight days during early September,

Lutwaffe drops bombs from over the city of London.

Londoners had to be evacuated,

some others were forced to hide

in the basement of their houses.

Some of the townspeople died lying on their bodies

crushed by rubble.

An event that made the new British PM nervous.

British PM, Wiston Churchill immediately contacted the president of the United States,

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, he asked the United States to step in immediately

and immediately became involved in the European wars.

Britain also received assistance from the United States.

This led to Germany, Italy and Japan

signed a military defense pact

on September 27, 1940.

The pact contains an agreement to help each other

if one of the three countries is attacked by another State.

In addition, there were wars on the Eastern front

centered on the separating area

Germany and the Soviet Union.

Hitler and Stalin initially made a non-attack agreement,

but Hitler ignored him.

Germany attacks towards the East

to take control of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941.

While in Asia Pacific,

Japan bombed the American Naval Fleet Base at Pearl Harbor,

Hawaii, on December 7, 1941.

The attack forced America in

into the 2nd World War.

Germany's move to invade the soviet is

Hitler's personal ambitions that had been poured out

into his book Main Camp in 1925.

Hitler said plainly,

that the German people need land, they need space to live

and it can be achieved by taking control of the lands of the Soviet Union

which has a very broad land

and natural resources including petroleum.

This not only supports the German people,

but it can also power the German war machine

and the Army.

Even though Hitler's attempt to invade this eastern front

has received a lot of opposition from his generals

especially in the army.

Because at the same time,

Germany is still fighting wars on the western front.

With a distance that is too far

as well as improper implementation time

to invade the eastern front.

However, for Adolf Hitler's hardness of heart,

this operation was carried out too.

Hitler mustered a force of 150 divisions

139 among them the Panzer division,

the number of soldiers deployed reached 3 million people

and supported by 3,350 tanks,

7,184 Artillery,

2,770 Aircraft Units

and 600 thousand units of vehicles.

This exertion of force made Operation Barbarosa

as the largest military operation in history.

Starting from the delay of the operation time from the specified schedule

and the concentration of war split up to

a central diversion that was ready to take the city of Moscow.

to move south is a problem in itself.

Hitler divided his ground troops into 3 lines of attack

The first group to the north,

led by General Wilhelm Von Leeb to Leningrad.

Group 2 through the middle route to Smolenks and Moscow,

led by General Fedor Von Bock.

And the third group to the south of Kiev Ukraine,

led by Gerd Von Rundstedt.

The Soviet Union, which was then led by Joseph Stalin

actually in a state that is not

ready to accept the attack.

At that time several Soviet cities were successfully rolled up

easily by the Germans.

On the eastern front,

During the summer of 1942,

Germany and the Axis Powers attacked the Soviet Union again.

With the aim of capturing Stalingrad on the Volga River,

as well as the city of Baku and the Caucasus oil fields.

The German offensive was halted on both battlefields

in the late summer of 1942.

In November,

Soviet troops counterattack on Stalingrad.

And on February 2, 1943,

German Sixth Army surrenders to the Soviet army.

German troops launch one more attack on Kursk

in July 1943.

Which is the greatest tank battle in history.

But the Soviet troops countered the attack,

and wields military dominance

which continued to be maintained during the war.

Hitler's blunders also made

the dominance of the German army also declined sharply.

The red army finally turned to dominate the field

and have the upper hand.

The arrival of a great winter is also beneficial

Soviet troops who controlled the terrain more.

Germany which also relies on the blitzkrieg strategy

did not apply in the vast soviets.

Even Hitler's dreams of dominating the Soviets had to be buried

deep along with freezing it

their armies of steel,

and the Fuhrer's pride of combat equipment.

Germany has had to get out of Russia since being pushed back

from Stalingard on November 19, 1942.

Russian troops invade Poland and the Balkans

which was controlled by Germany.

Soviet troops managed to retake

territory of Romania, Bulgaria (18 September 1944),

Yugoslavia (12 October 1944),

and Hungary (13 February 1945).

Italy eventually became a target for the Allies

with troop deployments under General Dwight D. Eisenhower.

These troops entered via Sicilia and Naples.

In July 1943,

Allied troops land on Sicily

and in September docked at the coast of mainland Italy.

After the Supreme Council of the Italian Fascist Party

relinquished the post of prime minister of Italy.

Namely Benito Mussolini (Hitler's ally),

the Italian military took over and negotiated

to surrender to American troops

on September 8.

German troops assigned to Italy

seize control of half of the peninsula area

the northern part, and continued resistance.

Mussolini, who had been captured by the Italian military,

was rescued by German SS commandos in September

and establishing a neo-Fascist puppet regime

(under German supervision) in Northern Italy.

German troops continued to control northern Italy

until surrendered on May 2, 1945.

Eisehower's Army and Montgomery's Army

invaded Normandy on June 6, 1944.

This attack was insurmountable

by Generals Rommel and Rundstedt.

France was also successfully wrested from German rule

at the end of August 1944.

On September 11, 1944,

the first American troops crossed into Germany,

a month after Soviet troops crossed the eastern border.

In mid December,
Germany launched a counterattack

in Belgium and northern France

known as the Battle of the Bulge.

But failed,

Allied air forces attack Nazi industrial factories,

like the factory at the Auschwitz camp

(even so, the gas chamber was never targeted).

The Allies invade Germany towards Berlin,

Soviet troops began their offensive on January 12, 1945.

And free western Poland,

thus forcing Hungary (an ally of the Axis bloc) to surrender.

In mid-February 1945,

The Allies bomb the German city of Dresden.

American troops crossing the Rhine River

on March 7, 1945.

The last Soviet offensive was on April 16, 1945,

allow Soviet troops

besieging the German capital, Berlin.

Goring was caught,

while Hitler and Gobbels committed suicide.

Admiral Domitz surrendered unconditionally on May 8, 1945.

Germany was declared unconditional surrender.

Germany finally agreed to sign an agreement

peace in Potsdam on August 2, 1945.

The Allies continued to carry out their action with success

United States troops defeat the Japanese Kaigun.

General Mac Arthur and Admiral Chester Nimitz

succeeded in occupying the Philippines (1944)

and Iwojima and Okinawa (1945).

The United States finally dropped the atomic bomb

above the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Japan was conquered and surrendered unconditionally

to the Allies on August 14, 1945.

Japan is willing to sign an agreement

aboard the warship USS Missouri

in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.

The end of World War II was marked by its surrender

Italy, Germany, and Japan to the Allies.

After that, the two sides entered into peace agreements.
