INTRODUCTION
ATTENTION GETTER: We are living in age were drowning of information, yet we are
starving for wisdom. Education ruins our common sense.
MAIN BODY
I. UNDERSTANDING THE DEFINITION OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge is gained through learning facts. Someone who knows a lot about a
certain subject, such as science or history, can be considered knowledgeable.
On the other hand, Wisdom comes from observing experiences and learning
from them in a way that affects future decisions and behavior.
- It's all about perspective. They are two different sides of the same coin. The
primary difference between the two words is that wisdom involves a healthy
dose of perspective and the ability to make sound judgments about something
while knowledge is simply knowing.
- Knowledge is what you know, Wisdom, that's how you live.
- Knowledge says the speed limit is 70, Wisdom says don't drive a hundred
while going past a state trooper.
- There's a lot of people who know a lot, but they don't do anything about it, not
even wise in fact they're fools.
II. EFFECTS OF BOTH
- Nowadays we usually tend to underestimate our parents and elders. People
assume themselves to be smarter on the basis of the knowledge which is gained
through education. They often neglect the fact that wisdom is ability to discern is
acquired through experience. Wisdom play a very important role in application of
relevant knowledge in the practical scenario.
- knowledge always comes first. Wisdom is built upon knowledge. That means you
can be both wise and knowledgeable, but you can’t be wise without being
knowledgeable. And just because you’re knowledgeable doesn’t mean you’re
wise.
II. FUNNY EPISODES/EXAMPLES

sleeping on the couch. Practical scenario

that day, but the guy says, "nah, I borrowed my mom's necklace of wisdom" after
the exam, he sighs," I should've studied. (KNOWLEDGE)

parachute only fails 5% and so the competitors are doing worse with their
product. They all think it was great except for the other employee who interrupted

other people, a judgmental person. One day, going home from school I noticed
that there is a commotion in our neighborhood, the girl who is in the latest news
of Marites, wants to hit her Marites mock her with the, "I thought you're a genius?
Why hit me with your knowledge instead?" So, the girl entered the house, got her
books and throw all of them to the gossiper. (WISDOM)
- Another one, in a forest, a man named Julius was caught by a big big monster,
but he didn't get scared, why? He has silver bullets. The monster continued to
walk approaching him and then he realizes, he doesn’t have a gun. (Wisdom)

Wisdom is, not to use it in a fruit salad

knowledge and also to follow, while eating fried chicken and nuggets.
- Me myself watch a yoga video so I can follow along but ended up just watching.
- Chef Rhea, a friend of mine listens to an international chef’s podcast for
inspiration to create a masterpiece in the kitchen but ended only eating.
So basically, wisdom is how you apply the knowledge that you have, it is what
separates us form all the other species and the artificial intelligence.
CONCLUSION
MEMORABLE STATEMENT:
Wisdom is mightier than mere knowledge. Knowledge finds the path, wisdom lights it.
Knowledge and wisdom combined was exceptional and were great.
I know that the question was about wisdom winning over knowledge, but that's a false
dichotomy. We really need both.
We are living in an age where information is drowning, yet we are starving for wisdom.
Education ruins our common sense. Which is better to have, wisdom or knowledge?
